JLT Specialty USA Announces Appointment of Shirley Griffith Bourke as Senior Vice President

JLT Specialty USA, a U.S. subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc. (LSE:JLT), one of the world’s leading specialty-focused providers of insurance, reinsurance and employee benefits related advice, brokerage and associated services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Shirley Griffith Bourke as Senior Vice President.

Based in Los Angeles, Shirley will be focused on managing the needs of a number of film and television clients. She will be instrumental in the development of building a strong team in Los Angeles that will provide a proactive and innovative approach to the increasingly complex risks associated with filmed production.

Shirley brings to JLT Specialty USA an extensive amount of experience in the film and television industry.  Dedicated to the Hollywood Studio clientele, she has handled some of the most complex, unique and hazardous films ever made.

Throughout her career, Shirley has worked with the some of the largest entertainment studios as well as collaborated with a variety of the studio departments including; Risk Management, Production, Legal and Finance in order to design insurance programs that respond to the diverse needs of her clients. Shirley spent the majority of her career at Albert G. Ruben, which later became Aon/Albert G. Ruben.  While there, she was the lead underwriter and was given the highest underwriting authority as an MGA for Transamerica. Shirley was recognized by Risk and Insurance Magazine as a 2009 Power Broker in Entertainment. Most recently, Shirley was with Arthur J Gallagher & Company.
