hybrasil, thanks for sharing.

Re, tech fibres, rather than t/o could there be a possibility of sharing/cooperation/merger?

There still seems to be regular buying, as though someone is building a position £10k+ at a time. It's been going on since the new year.

We look set to confirm the new target price today, if it can close above 1275. If we do eventually reach 1390 there are some new higher targets that will come into view.

The company is very intertwined with the croppers but something must be causing this exceptional price rise. I know Technical Fibre products excite.
The possibility of Mark Cropper selling exists but a very hard thing to do.

The Dad was a former Lord Lieutenant of cumbria and they have such long links to the area.

I know Garbetklb that is is high but I find it hard to sell any more shares.

Very little opportunity of a takeover bearing in mind the Cropper family holding of 40%+.
Price is looking a bit peaky to me.

hybrasil, I have looked again at chart. Fridays eod price is 10p below confirming the new target. I have calculated this new target price at minimum 1390.

We need an eod close above 1275 [the prior target] to make the new target valid.

Since you have been here a while and know the co, is there any possibility there could be a takeover?

hybrasil, I need to check over the weekend, but think on todays close we could be confirming a new target price approx 1430. [edit, new target will be 1390, due to calc error, see next post]

Have a good weekend. :)

It and fevertree are currently my best %age performers.
I have never calculated my total return. Unfortunately I sold a lot of my crpr at the £2.00 region.Still have a good chunk.

I visited the company in about 2004. At that time I was interested because it was trading way below NAV and I wanted to look at its property.
The advice given then was TFP would come good but that it would take a very long time as indeed it has.

Do you really think it can keep going up?

hybrasil. Wow, indeed.

15 years. That's fantastic. Well done. Have you ever calculated the total return including income?

This share has been very kind to me also, although I have a different holding horizon.

Plenty more to come in this ascent.

Hi hybrasil, yes we are now in blue sky!

The previous all-time-high was taken out yesterday.

I like to work on the end of day closing price.

I have a new confirmed target of 1275.

Would you not regard this (almost£12) as blue sky?

Good move so far today. It'd be good to see the ath at 1165 tested next.

The current flag needs to b/o this week, if it does the target 1138. Previous longer term targets still valid.

Hi Croppers, share price seems to have got going without me. I was busy elsewhere, and had considered that it would be best if the continuation gap from the last uptrend was closed before this happened, however it seems to have become support for now.

There are two nice targets on this upbreak. The flat bottomed flag tp 1149, and the INVH&S into blue sky tp 1212. cheers

All positive news this am. Operationally growing well and in line with expectations. Pensions a watch item but not surprising when wider economic factors taken into account. Onwards and upwards!

Results next week likely to have a more short term impact on direction of share price Not a lot to indicate progress or not over the last few months so watching cautiously.

Todays close above 986 and the 50sma confirms the V-bottom, with a target of approx 1130. It's possible the share price may get tangled up in the trendlines of the Rising Wedge on the way back up. There is also a small gap that could become resistance around the 1090 area. fibs used for measurement only.

Hi LM, I'm into trading the turns, and for now only really want to hold during phases of share price appreciation. Consolidation phases can go on for months and that means capital that could be deployed elsewhere is unavailable.

I'm open about posting the charts I use. I do this to build experience and keep a useful time stamped record. I can then return and judge success or failure. The info in the charts is useful for buy and holders as well as traders imo.

CRPR hit my target, and the turn date, hence the sale. I expect more consolidation now, but plan to watch the chart carefully for another entry point.

I'm not sure that the level I am trading at has any noticeable effect on the share price

Sentiment is different and also I hate the idea of someone acting incorrectly as a result of anything I post here. We all need to help each other, in an ideal world.

I struggle a little with the 'etiquette' on advfn.

Its only a personal thing but I like to call my ins/outs (plus a bit of sporting ramping/bashing & fun chat) when index day trading/scalping - it helps keeps you honest, highly focused & sane in one of the hardest games in the world.

But for mid/long term investing in specific assets I prefer not to call my ins/outs (esp outs) - it helps preserve the all important sentiment (which needs to be preserved for sustained periods of time) for those still in for the longer term.

Volume not much better than zip but not complaining. Is the market sniffing a trading update?
