According to selftrade CRPR is the only stock in the Forestry and Paper Index can anyone confirm this?

Only a matter of time until a loaded Brazillian, Russian, Indian or Chinese gentlemen turns up with a few suitcase loads of cash and a desire for a spot of verticle integration IMHO.

Share holders would get enterprise value of say £3.80 perhaps + a bit of premium for loosing furture earnings growth, dividend, commodity related increases (i.e. due to world paper and wood demand/shortages) and RPI linked inflation IMHO.

Havent got any CRPR but I watch the industry with interest. Bought some FNT who among other things do forestry management and are subject to takeover rumours and have announced that they are in discussions!

I too have quite a large holding in intercede. I'm off to look at the other ones you are talking about.

Thanks Garth. Yes, I hold CRPR and SVR. IGP has a good website if you're interested at www.intercede.com . They're like SMRT in that still subject to large contract timings though that effect should reduce from next year.

AW,

My main concern is preservation of capital. I hold as many CAR as I do CRPR - they pay a divi and are ISA-able. There is lots of info on the CAR thread.

IGP I hold - but had been out of them for a long while - prefering SMRT. They have been edging closer to profit but have not got there yet - WJC is the man for a good summary. He has been seen recently here or on the SVR thread (another significant holding of mine).

SVR are close to profit, have announced several significant contracts and could be a good double-bagger. They are ISAable. They are not without risks.

Got to go. Hope that helps for kick-starting some research.

Kind regards,

G.

Garth
It was from SMRT where we all believe we were robbed!
Any further suggestions would be gratefully received - your feelings about IGP where I am not involved - for example.
Better still, something which pays a dividend is always reassuring.

No pressure on you then Garth! I've just joined up too. (From SMRT)
Thanks, I hope, for the tip.

Yes Garth - on it's way to a breakout :-)

270p was the last intraday high - can't see it staying this low and nor can others from the buying the last few days.

Firm all the way to the results in Nov imo.

seen all the buying today? recon there's a bit of stock about. Good news for buyers cos it's tough to get when this stock is moving up. Reckon when this bit clears it's another rush north again.

PE 12 for the current year, 3% yield and they look like they could beat by some way seems very cheao imo.
