15/9/2009 09:20 | Well limits a showing an improvement today with 37.5K available to buy but 100K to sell slightly over published bid. | ucnut
14/9/2009 17:05 | Oh my Gawd KBC have gone a 1/2p better on the 'bid' timed @ 16.52 .... is he on the nightshift? Now if the 'shop' cease tipping them out under 7p we may well be on our way. We shall see ....... | omerta
14/9/2009 16:25 | Agreed, exactly why I have been buying! | the big fella
14/9/2009 15:45 | I seriously may do as if this is the start of a recovery I anticipate it moving quickly.Reading over the previous posts I can only imagine that there was a forced seller in the stock as fundamentally it looks extremly cheap. | ucnut
14/9/2009 15:40 | Bid moved up near the bell, which is encouraging. Best you boys by a few more and we can get things moving!!! | the big fella
14/9/2009 10:26 | Managed to pick up a few more for my SIPP this morning.I noticed some good news for the retail sector this weekend regarding credit insurance so maybe back to normality. | ucnut
13/9/2009 20:48 | Nice to see some respected posters in this stock with the same view as I do.Hopefully as we approach the Christmas period we will see an increase in the retail sector which will also benefit JQV. | ucnut
11/9/2009 16:42 | I will see if he fancies it and let you all know. May attend too. | davidosh
11/9/2009 15:44 | David, Any chance of getting Colin up to Islington for the AGM on 28 Sep at 11.30am ? It would seem like a good company for him to cover IMO. Simple, well-known and off most people's radar. I can't make it unfortunately. Forecasts look low to me. My model throws out a current year PBT of £2.35mill, a lowish tax charge through the Cashflow if not through the P&L and the NCA and NTAV (excl pension revaluation) appreciating by £1.5 to £2 mill at a guess. No divi expected as it isn't something the main shareholders want. Better pension fund surplus due to the big market rally since April... I'm also wondering if this might be on Moulton's shopping list following his falling out with Alchemy. They want to go down a financial services line so maybe they are sellers at double this price and he could well see value quite a bit above that ? Des | deswalker
11/9/2009 15:12 | I have just joined you guys and done my bit to help with a 100k @ 6.855. Will take a closer look over the weekend before adding. Any thoughts on forecasts, dividends going forward etc ? | davidosh
11/9/2009 15:03 | Are they being offered around mid price here then? That 100K is then a buy. | ucnut
11/9/2009 13:52 | Others in the sector have rallied. | the big fella
11/9/2009 13:51 | For a company to be on such a good financial footing the share price is unjustifiable. Is it a sector thing that is holding it back or have people just overlooked this? | ucnut
11/9/2009 13:21 | Rather unusual in this day and age to have a pensions surplus! But I make you right and they won't remain overlooked forever. | the big fella
11/9/2009 13:13 | Yes, a bit annoying that we haven't rallied with the market but I own rather a lot and will wait for something close to 15p. The real value will become apparent as the pension scheme continues to be wound down and the question of how to unlock the surplus becomes relevant. Maybe they'll look to buy another retailer who is hamstrung by a large pension deficit such as DWSN and try to amalgamate the two schemes ? Is this sort of thing allowed ? Anyway it's a long term hold for me. | deswalker
11/9/2009 12:19 | Well now this is good news indeed Jacques Vert is to reposition its brands to target a younger market. The classic womenswear house, which owns the Jacques Vert, Planet, Windsmoor and Precis Petite labels, has given Planet brand director Jane Stott brand director responsibilities for Windsmoor and employed a raft of new in-house designers to revamp the brands. | ucnut
11/9/2009 12:14 | Share price in this stock puts all the fundamentals to shame. At least we have the opportunity to build a significant position at a super discount to it's real value. | ucnut
10/9/2009 15:35 | Well i'm no chartist but the shares seems to be at the same level as they were in early April (looking @ the 6 month preiod on Proquote) I see they nipped up to 9.5p on/around 1st.May >> just after yr.end. By the time of Prelims in early July they were back to 6.75p Totally missed the current 'bull'run. Hey,ho | omerta
10/9/2009 14:41 | Omerta Looking at the chart I reckon we are due a sharp re rating. | the big fella
10/9/2009 14:07 | Like me, you're talking your book TBF!! They widen the price on the 'offer' on a modest 60/- but no sign of interest on the 'bid' side. I thought it was supposed to have one of the more decent B/S in the retail sector .......... and CASH for Lords sake. Hacked off with it.... | omerta
10/9/2009 13:07 | This one has surely due a re-rating. Every man and his dog has been. Online limits imroving folloing the 60k earlier. Hopefully this one will join the party sooner rather than later! | the big fella
25/8/2009 14:18 | Yes, this one is due a re-rating. | the big fella
25/8/2009 14:14 | Should see retail figures pick up and as we move towards the 4th quarter these stocks tend to start to rebound. | knowing |
