12/9/2020 08:29 | ITV are ... near business as normal !I've got people involved i know well in Leeds ....All sectors are busy .. all studios etc.Never mind BRITBOX roll out..On every metric this is a COVID safe haven stockValuation is crazy ....It's a sitting duck for a opportunist bid .. esp with the investor structure. BUY !!! | amaretto1
12/9/2020 07:44 | Actually that is correct. "IF" there is a cure for covid19 (or reasonable treatments) within 12 months there will be one heck of an adverting campaign by every listed FTSE100 /FTSE250 company (eg house builders, estate agents, restaurants, cars, food, holidays, travel, clothes, consumer products etc) to get every man and their dog to buy .. There will be adverts coming out of ITVs ears. So if you think about it, the company that will recover FIRST in any recovery will be the company that makes money out of TV adverts. ITV. ps I've noticed a familar advfn name on the WPP board -it made me think, perhaps he's right, it might be worth having a side punt on WPP too... Look at how S4 Capital [SFOR] has done during covid, another Sorrell company. ITV on front page of the Guardian: | netcurtains

11/9/2020 16:08 | Here is the charge through 66p close, with a bit of luck. itv worth £10bn. | srpactive
11/9/2020 15:54 | ThomasEarnShaw: Could be a lot more than "£2 billion to £3 billion". That really naff show Game of Thrones is worth $1B alone so Corri has to be worth 10 times that... | netcurtains
11/9/2020 14:51 | The catalogue worth £2 billion to £3 billion imho | thomasearnshaw
11/9/2020 14:48 | There is a lot of money in light entertainment. People can get a bit up their own asses about creating event TV. I watch both, some is intense and some just washes over me, a good mix. And as I said, ITV also has some event TV programmes of their own. So, this is why at the end of the day, this will be taken out by one of the the big boys. Phew! need a lay down now :) | hamhamham1
11/9/2020 14:41 | But even Sky needs volume light entertainment suppliers like ITV. If there was no ITV or for that matter BBC, then there would be a gaping hole in the Sky offering IMO. They all have their niches and are reliant on each other to create a whole market range to keep the varying tastes of consumers happy. | hamhamham1
11/9/2020 14:40 | good point. | scepticalinvestor
11/9/2020 14:36 | Chart is going nuts , won't surprise to have at 90p | thomasearnshaw
11/9/2020 14:35 | Yeah, subscription. Netflix and Disney can make all the event telly they want, but how much in house new tv is broadcast each week, an hour or two? ITV has a lot of content for filling in around the big event tv programmes, and even some of their own, so has a lot of value IMO. Sky is different, it not only creates event tv, it also is a huge platform for allowing other tv channel operators to get to air. (Similar to BT for broadband, sells it and also supplies it to other sellers) | hamhamham1
11/9/2020 13:58 | netone word subscription | stansmith3
11/9/2020 13:57 | I've noted ITVs main output is aimed at the female market: eg Love Island, Coronation Street ... Its clearly a lot more successful then Sky focusing on teens and men (eg Game of Thrones type stuff)... It would be interesting to know what Sky's TV companies are worth in comparison to ITV. ITV should be valued much higher as much more successful.... But are they valued higher? I've got $31B here (forbes).... | netcurtains
11/9/2020 13:53 | COA - it actually quite a good share (COATS)... | netcurtains
11/9/2020 13:52 | or the netcurtain lift......ill get my coat... | stansmith3 |
