PE ratio (for normal year) is now about pe3.5 to pe4
So how low can a PE ratio (for normal year) go for a solid FTSE250 company?
I mean should I hold off buying more until PE goes to about 1? Where is
it heading?

From Research Tree-
BritBox’s development
BritBox grew significantly in the US (> 1.2m subscribers) and is profitable. ITV is
planning to launch BritBox in Australia in H2 20 and intends to roll out the service
in 25 countries. The expansion will be funded by ITV’s share in BritBox US’ cash
flows.

IvanBorsky aka 5EightsAccount - Wrong again with the 58p bottom prediction. What a surprise. Can you please just stop spouting garbage on here, it's getting tiresome now.

"However, the Glasgow-based broadcaster said advertising trends have improved materially over the summer, with total advertising revenue down 7% in July and up 1% in August. Regional revenue returned to growth in July and August, with VOD also growing again in August. STV’s digital business is expected to continue to grow strongly."

discodave45: Thanks re: STV and ITV: - but it does show you, if you take all the silly funds away and just let ordinary people decide (oh my gawd - revolution) then the people think the figures show a good rising trend of adverting revenue towards the all important Christmas period AND full order books for TV production AND rising digital uptake. What is not to like (relative to where both share prices are now)....

Net, your earlier post:'Here are the STV results again. What do people think? Are they relatively in-line with ITV? If so, would you expect ITV to rise soon too?'Their H1 looks to me to be on a par with ITV's and wouldn't have expected any rise here on the back of their outlook, despite +1% increase LFL in Aug advertising. The share price here rose nearly 5% on H1 results so would expect similar at STV.

Brexit: Covid:

If you think about, in a recession, people will still watch FREE TV (eg ITV ) but will cut back on NETFLIX.

It seems to me ITV theoretically wins either way.

All of that I know. But I've no idea how that relates to my original comment? My point was that FTSE relegation selling didn't end on Friday, so will still impact share price for a short while. In the meantime the STV update indicates an advertising revival, good for ITV and may boost share price on next update.

Alex:
Weak dollar FOR FOREIGN BUYERS means CHEAP US SHARES
Strong pound FOR FOREIGN BUYERS means EXPENSIVE UK SHARES

Brexit not relevant for FTSE100 - if Brexit was relevant then surely we would have
a WEAK pound?

STV produced good set of results - market has not factored those results into ITV yet
- or perhaps they have but cant stop now as posh kids make money by shifting one fund to another
earning commission for doing nothing but shuffling shares.

get it now?
