Enquest has picked up some North Sea assets from BP today...



...with the oil price now higher this could be a significant year for M&A activity in the O&G sector.

IMO Market can't fully price first oil in, unless it knows everything material about it and it's risk free.

Agree. I think any significant jump from here will only come from a stabilised rate above the range stated and subsequent reforecast. Whilst I'm hopeful of this given how the wells tested i have been selling into this rise and will continue to wind down my holding. The near five-fold rise here in 12 months has me far too exposed to oil against a precarious opec deal and a still far from inspiring supply/demand imbalance.

interesting article bountyhunter, Ive read a few myself which say this will be a massive year for M&A in the sector.
With production about to ramp up to 20-25kbpd we could be a nice target for a mid cap player, low cost Cap Ex just make us look even more attractive.

I'm expecting news of first oil this week which should have us in the £1.20S

ITHACA news they haven't released

on Jan 18/2017 iae contracted the jack up rig ensco 122 for 150 days commencing march 15/2017 (i believe this is the correct date) to drill one well in the north sea.

Feb17: Greater Stella & FPF-1 electrical junction boxes issues confirm resolved
Feb17: Reserves update due?
Norpipe 2017: pumps & subsea connections
The 44 kilometre spurline from the FPF-1 to the Norpipe system was successfully installed as planned in September 2016. The outstanding activities are the manufacture and installation of pipeline export pumps on the FPF-1 and the final subsea connections that need undertaking immediately prior to the switchover.
