14/12/2016 07:39 | Looks as though we've beaten 2012's figure of £126m and had our best year ever! This is fantastic news! OUR BEST YEARS FIGURES EVER! | tomyumgoong
14/12/2016 07:34 | And the application of products will keep growing. | poombear
14/12/2016 07:34 | Looks as if all coming together for the company and market demand at the same time Its the only problem with leading technology, getting the timing right. Excellent outcome and good guide for 2017. Looking for more demand and the capital spent to support it. | dexter5
14/12/2016 07:31 | Short and sweet :) | darkdogs
14/12/2016 07:27 | Fantastic. Must be well ahead of 10% increase year on year. They would not have said double digit growth unless they were very sure. We are not even through year end yet. Also revenues more than first half, so more than £63m. 114m x 115% would be 131m, 68m second half. I still think it will be more than £70m. | owenga
14/12/2016 07:23 | :-) Very nice Xmas present Says it ALL in a nice ceonservative way Photonics will be up 50% and wireless as expected meaning 5-10% , ALL strands doing well and as expected not often said by anyone these days -A POSITIVE PROFITS WARNING It's going to be thumping good results come March and the increasing CAPEX is absolutely necessary to drive future profits The £/$ presentation will be complicated BUT the main headline figures , what everyone looks at will be favourably affected It's just a super, positive yet at the same time conservative statement , giving room to wallop the figures at finals :-) :-) S | sweenoid
14/12/2016 07:15 | Merry Christmas folks. Lovely Jubley - Nice positive trade update. (Hardly a surprise to close followers of IQE over the past few months) | american idiot
14/12/2016 07:14 | Wonderful stuff. Maybe 40p+ today? And set fair for the future too: "The breadth of IQE's technologies is a competitive advantage that is enabling its continued growth, and will provide a platform for strong cash generation over the coming years" | rivaldo
14/12/2016 07:06 | Nice :o) Since the announcement of its interim results on 13 September 2016, IQE's trading has continued to be strong across multiple markets, particularly in the photonics business. As a consequence, the Group announces that it is on track to deliver FY 2016 revenue and adjusted1 operating profit ahead of expectations. It is anticipated that revenues will reflect a double digit rate of growth year on year, and that H2 revenues will be up sequentially over H1. | bigbigdave
13/12/2016 22:51 | yump, IQE haven't even scratched the surface yet. They won't be cannibalising their own sales because the tech hasn't even hit critical mass yet. I have no idea why you're invested here with such a lack of understanding of the markets. | sheep_herder
13/12/2016 22:05 | My money would be on the update tomorrow. We won't get too much info out of them other than they expect to outperform. Would be good if they could announce a contract win or 2! If not tomorrow, we can all pack up for an early xmas and come back in the new year !! | lpavlou
13/12/2016 20:11 | Last year we got a trading update on Wednesday 16 December. So hopefully we will get one tomorrow. I am expecting at least 70m revenues for 6 months so about 15% up on same 6 month period last year. Fx alone should give us £6-£8m more revenue than first half. If phototonics grow another 40% over first half that's another £4m..Now I think about it, we should have at least £75m revenues for 6 months... I topped up today!GLA | owenga
13/12/2016 19:20 | Sweenoid,Do you think IQE's recent collaboration with Bluglass has anything to do with that piece you just posted re Macom and plasma lighting? Quote from recent RNS re Bluglass and plasma deposition process:The 15 month joint R&D agreement is an exclusive arrangement whereby IQE and BluGlass agree to collaborate to develop technology for high quality III-N films deposited by Remote Plasma Chemical Vapour Deposition (RPCVD) on both Si and cREO(TM) on Si templates. | tomyumgoong
13/12/2016 19:11 | Sweenoid, Someuwin Thank you so much for helping out the technologically challenged like old Shavian with your fab summaries. Not at all like the snotty putdown I received from that Adventurous person back there. But I'm still no wiser about the involvement (or not) of IQE in perovskite as a component in CS for solar applications, which seems to be touted as a cheaper alternative to GaN by the likes of Dysol in Oz. Also where graphene is going to fit into the picture. Any clues? Reasons to be cheerful - INDEED. Keep up the great posts | shavian |
