I've been buying in the 160s hoping it is the bottom.

Have a look at T/O and Pre Tax P/L, 2-3% at best.

Over many years, wafer thin margins, little joy for shareholders!

Day 2 for new CEO. Hopefully be a different company in 6 months. Get the full debt disclosure out. Rationalise the business, refocus on profitable areas and have something to shout about.

Today was a small volume apart from closing auction and two late (delayed) trades. Any thoughts on this?

Once the e4w projects are sorted irv will be back to generating £100m in cash per annum. This will be worth a lot more in 12 months

This has not been demoted from the ftse250 or 350, it has been in the ssmm sector all this year. I think it will recover from here but watching closely for any weakness

Well I've closed for small profit. Too scary for me. I'll happily re-enter lower down.

Could have been a nice call whoever added today when it was down 5%, lets see what tomorrow brings but maybe that was the bottom.

Thanks rHatton - I forgot. Strange day - 5% down on no news on an up FTSE day seems odd indeed.

CC2014 good point about FTSE demotion and I should have thought about that last week before I topped up; with a marcap of £235m well out. I see that in June The TBC Bank Group got in to the 250 and they had a £900m marcap.

Added here at 164. Assume fall based on FTSE250 demotion although that's not new news.

Dividend coming up soon and share prices usually rise into that.

Good call I have been doing the same. The share price is at a 20 year support level. However if this level breaks lower then I will sell out, since more bad news is coming.

Dan,

See my #4162. It really isn't necessary to say "Dyor imho" just to say "Another high volume day. Another drip drip of falling."

Nobody's going to sue you!

From Questor

"And what about Interserve, which welcomed its new chief executive Debbie White this week?

It fell into the trap of trying to do too much without enough focus on what it could charge, says Questor.

Its profits are down and costs have overrun at its arm that constructs energy-from-waste plants.

It has a new team, though, which could make a turnaround easier and it may have some financial headroom.

Questor says that although it has been urging investors to ‘avoid’ as recently as August 15, shares have continued to fall – another 11.6 per cent since then, which means shares are now trading at barely three times next year’s earnings.

This ‘could be just enough to encourage the most risk-tolerant investors to try some bottom fishing’, says Questor."

Personally I am waiting for the new management to kitchen sink all the liabilities the big question is whether they will need a rights issue.
I cant see a reason to invest prior to that happening.
