22/8/2007 12:09 | I have seen it, i set the thread up there..They are in my home town...i agree i dont think by a long way that IGH are finished..Might be a rocky ride but things change..they turned over 30 mill last year and have a significant infrastructure in place, ok a sullied name but that in time can be rectified.. when it comes to gambling punters have a short memory, were not talking Harrods here. | power talker
22/8/2007 12:06 | Sorry, off Topic. PT have a look at MBK. Surprise announcement. Example of how things change. Hoping for similar here. | multisync 5
22/8/2007 10:55 | Never say never, Shaun. You did not expect to see the sites up again did you? | multisync 5
22/8/2007 10:51 | The brand no longer has any value, if they dont pay punters why would you place a bet with them? The could sell the data and close thegig down. | oneillshaun
22/8/2007 10:43 | Or a takeover by potential investor, GCVF or the Tchenguiz's Consensus Business Group because they own about 25% of IGH. Robert Spriddell must have resigned for a reason. Or an entity out of the blue. Only a thought. | multisync 5
22/8/2007 10:19 | Agreed that their brands, site and customer base has value when in the right hands. Customers must have confidence that their deposits are safe and that they can withdraw their funds at any stage. There is a large credibility black cloud over IGH at present and it is difficult to know whether they will receive funding to continue operating. They seem to have been burning cash at an alarming rate. As an investor, I think that we need to see funding of current operations and for the company to build back its credibility. If they sell the assets and fold we are scuppered as we would get nothing. GCVF and/or the other possible investor are our only hope!! | senator
22/8/2007 09:57 | The dubious state of IGH has been discussed at length on many punter sites. Experienced online punters know this is a risk with the more dubious operations. However when BLOOM was in charge IGH was not considered at risk. Netbetsports failed some years ago and punters recd nothing from their deposits. This should be a legal requirement that all punter funds are ringfenced. It happens in OZ, so why not here. Premierbet is finished since it now forever tainted with not paying out promptly. This means they will only take fiver bets from extrememly uninformed clients - at some stage you have to take bigger bets but these punters are very aware of the problems. I turned over 8.5k and was up 4.5k so am keen for them to do well (!) - but I would never re-deposit a penny at the moment. The name Heathorns is of some value - as could be the Premierbet website. However it will only be value if a sound company takes it over, at the moment they are dead in the water. | scotches
22/8/2007 09:49 | Quite simply .... confused ..... not ramping or de-ramping and appreciate most punters would not follow stock market RNS' .... however ... as far as I am aware the name of premierbet (at least) has become somewhat mud like .... including write ups in Racing post ... surely the punters who read these kind of publictions are the ones needed to be kept 'on side' and not Joe Soap who places a tenner a year on the cup final .... I await with interest .... if only from the view point of intrigue and legality as opposed to believing I will see any return on my investment .... anyway good luck all | woofy4
22/8/2007 09:38 | Shaun, You are assuming that punters know the stock market. I would suggest that the punters have no idea what is happening in the background. They simply see that the site required some maint. I have to say that following my comments this morning about the longer the sites are down the worse things are - I am now encouraged that they are back up operating. That has to be positive. It will be interesting to see the next news and GCVFs position going forward (if indeed we are going forward). | senator
22/8/2007 09:24 | Wrong oneilshaun, i have just registered at heathorns and they are taking bets.. | power talker
22/8/2007 09:18 | oneilshaun..you really think that they might not have been asked to maybe consider if resignation might be appropriate?IE. Guys your choice either resign or we give you the boot. You get real..It might go pop, it might not... | power talker
22/8/2007 09:09 | Woofy, really do not know. Like I said before observing with interest. I do know that IGH has the potential and platform in place to deliver earnings of £1.5m to £2m going forward. But changes are required. Having said that, I think it is only the egos of the men in suits that can make a mess of things. Lets hope they see sense and it does not come to that (i.e. let their egos get in the way of realising the potential here). | multisync 5
22/8/2007 09:02 | Woofy..Keep everything crossed and pray we get a positive result.. | power talker
22/8/2007 08:58 | Well Multi ... I have to say I'm confused (a normal state of mind .. I confess) .... so what happens now ? | woofy4
22/8/2007 08:57 | So did i multi sync...Lets hope for an RNS and this to rise like the phoenix out the ashes...Chucked out the deadwood at head office and got some decent people in to turn the ship around.. | power talker
22/8/2007 08:52 | I did say never say never! Premierbet site is up and running. So is Heathorns. | multisync 5
22/8/2007 07:55 | Couldnt agree more Sen ... reputation is everything re online bookies and this lot have fallen over backwards in trying to destory whatever credibility they had .... only positive is nice CGT break | woofy4
22/8/2007 07:27 | The longer the sites are down the more punters will look elsewhere. For any glimmer of hope, this has to turn around fast. Personally, I am several grand down and feel that it is now a lost cause. Anything else is then a positive but I am not optimistic. | senator
21/8/2007 18:15 | It always appears the darkest before the light comes. I have not given up on IGH yet.. The directors and nomad got the boot. They did Not resign..GCVF are calling the shots here. Out with the old in with the new, get a new NOMAD, sort a workable business plan out, give GCVF half the business.. The websites can be re opened once a proper workable strategy is in place..lets wait and see what happens. | power talker
21/8/2007 17:54 | oneillshaun - 21 Aug'07 - 11:43 - 161 of 169 Never say never. | multisync 5
21/8/2007 14:54 | it is companies like IGH that give the industry a bad name, i know firms in costa rica that are run better than this, and IGH are based in london. | oneillshaun
21/8/2007 14:42 | the fat lady is singing and she going to be taken out to the car park and shot. | oneillshaun |
