17/8/2007 13:57 | Was interesting you recounting your meeting with one of the premierbet boys and the way they seemed .... if I recall correctly ... they took the high risk (low risk punter) wagers .... that other bookies would otherwise find hard to lay off .... SBT ? who are they .... lng was lucky to make quite a few quid on that when it went mental for some reason back in May (?) ... will take another gander ..... hope no ones lost to much here ... good luck going forward ! | woofy4
17/8/2007 13:56 | They should have taken out a large short out on their own stock, only bet they knew they could win. ;-)) | isis
17/8/2007 13:45 | Watcha mate Shaun .... just as was expected .... GVCF have bailed on last 400k .... last one out please turn of the light ! | woofy4
17/8/2007 11:05 | eGaming Morning Snapshot - 17 August NEWS: Interactive Gaming Holdings (IGH) has requested the suspension of trading in its shares pending further clarification of its financial position. The news comes after IGH announced on Wednesday that General Capital Venture Finance had loaned it a further £400,000 for the third time in as many months in order to stay afloat. | oneillshaun
17/8/2007 10:09 | Woofy - I think you are right concerning GVCF, chances are the company goes into administration GVCF get ALL the assets just at the point where things can be turned around... | dusseldorf
17/8/2007 09:47 | Wish I could think of something positive delb .... but I was rather hoping the brand and customer base would if worse came to the worse be worth a couple of quid (although the reputation has been destroyed by Taule) ... even if it is I assume the only beneficiary now will be GVCF who will flog it of and claim the cash as part of the 600k facility which was secured against the companies alledged assets ..... My guess would be that GVCF borrow money to turn round lame duck companies and then flog the warrents/shares that they have issued for a nice return .... due to the current credit climate and cost of borrowing and the market uncertainty .... GVCF may feel the risk/reward is not balanced in their favour and will shut this down asset strip and try and claw back as much as they can for themselves ..... having said all that .... will probably get an RNS this afternoon saying trading rseumed and we will open up at 15p .... I really should stop drinking so early in the morning ! | woofy4
17/8/2007 09:38 | You've got to laugh, not only is my money now looking like it is gone forever, I was just about to phone the company and that page of the website "contact us" would appear to have been removed! That clearly speaks volumes. It would appear as though they have taken the worlds oldest bookmakers and destroyed it. Can anyone offer any positive outcome whatsoever? Had written this off before now and at least we wont have to watch the share price tick down each day and wonder if there is any way back. | delb3rt
17/8/2007 09:16 | good on you JB ... certainly did the right thing .... no one to blame but myself .... writing was on the wall .... not sure what GVCF will do now .... this is the tail end of an email I received yesterday .... it is not from any brokerage and is not intended as any form of investment advice .... it is purely the opinion of an individual and represents no organisations views ... I don't see why someone external from the company would be interested in investing over £1m in a company that will soon be left without any customer. The name alone in the current market is worth nothing. | woofy4
17/8/2007 09:10 | LOL.. another of Power Talker's dogs bites the dust. PT... you really know how to pick 'em...... kiss of death personified !! | grassyknoll
17/8/2007 09:09 | 17 August 2007 Interactive Gaming Holdings Plc ("IGH" or "the Group") Request for Suspension The Company has requested that the ordinary shares in the Company be suspended from trading on AIM pending clarity of its financial position. The Company will make further announcements as soon as it is able to. | cyberpost
17/8/2007 09:05 | Cant say I'm hugely suprised Quin ... well done JB .... should have heeded your wise words ..... perhaps GVCF have decided enough is enough ... will have to wait and see | woofy4
15/8/2007 17:25 | Jailbird. I think you give Power Talker too much credit. On Aql he was ramping the hell out of it after buying it at 37p despite the company warning investors that they were looking to delist the stock, 32p bid was easily availble, he sold for 8p today. | fraqwer43
15/8/2007 17:21 | the problem with AIM shares, the RNS can be interpreted both ways sometimes. And if u are holder you opinion becomes clouded and the rose tinted glasses stay on for too long. IMHO the wordings are so widely used in RNS', thatg you just do not believe them anymore, particulary when the company is in real trouble. | jailbird
15/8/2007 17:17 | There needs to be a serious wealth warning attached to any new thread started by Power Talker. He is a pump and dumper and he also has a knack of picking a stock just before it plunges deeper and deeper, click on the name and look at all of the charts. Also he lacks the honesty to admit when his stock has just issued very bad news, the example is in this stocks awful news this morning, no wonder people were bailing out at any price, i feel sorry for all the genuine holders. Power Talker - 15 Aug'07 - 07:24 - 111 of 122 Excellent news further backing by GCVf...Read this bit Thomas Taule, Executive Chairman, commented "This funding shows GCVF's continued support for and belief in the Company. The IGH Board are examining a number of interesting opportunities to develop the business going forward". | fraqwer43
15/8/2007 17:06 | All time low - now I could get 1p per share. Not bad since I paid 4p per share. Rose tinted specs not working. I did not sell because I was confident that the company would turn things around but I think that they must have a 10 year old in charge of their PR dept. They may be pleased that they have obtained funding but they are doing very little to keep shareholders appraised of currents operations/performan They have obviously been working hard to secure the funding - business plan etc. I am confident that they will turn the company around but for who's benefit - GCFV. I would like to know what they expect the dilution for current shareholders to be. they say "if" the debt is converted and not "when" which is what they actually mean. It is very difficult to be anything other than extremely frustrated at this company. | senator
15/8/2007 10:52 | Same here woofy.. Except, GCVF has effectively taken control of IGH. And rightly so. | multisync 5
15/8/2007 10:43 | Not sure what to make of this ..... couldnt make a profit on record turnover in a world cup year with Jon Heatons costs on board .... among other things .... now talking about strengthining the management team with industry experienced board members ... how they going to pay for that ... and yet GVCF are chucking money at them like confetti .... share dillution or not GVCF must think they are going to get their money back .... Taule has managed to effectively ruin the reputation of premierbet (see racing post , bookmakers review and first hand experiences such as kneecaps ... whom at least has a chnace of getting some winnings out now ... and good luck to him) .... yet still more trust from their new Angel .... probably should cut losses JB but as mentioned before have effectivley written this off so will probably wait and see ... need a minor miracle and some superb PR to get this back on track .... bit like Sentinel hedgefund in the States ...would you give them money as a punter if you werent going to be paid out on winnings .... AGM will be interesting ... and I for one will deff be going ... dyor ... etc etc | woofy4
15/8/2007 09:50 | They are in trouble, but they have a guardian angel onboard GCVF are now as much part of IGH as Thomas Taule.. They need to make the company work...I cannot see them keep throwing money at IGH if they believed there would be no return for them..I think it is good news today...locks GCVF further in and i believe this will go a long way to help IGH start building a more structured and efficent business. | power talker
15/8/2007 09:26 | revenues lok good from previous statement but no good without profits. | jailbird
15/8/2007 09:25 | PT, yiu are living in cuckoo land...they are in trouble, not to say they could get out of it...but it is looking more unlikely that any shareholder value can be made from these. Woofy, cut your losses. | jailbird |
