Drone deliveries taking off in the UK and China.


“We’re starting with two customers now and in the coming months we’ll offer participation to dozens of customers living within several miles of our U.K. facility, and then growing to hundreds more,” the company said at the time. “After that, well it’d be easy to say the sky’s the limit, but that’s not exactly true anymore, is it?”

And the skies might not be so empty soon – with plenty of companies, including UPS, Google, and Walmart testing and developing drone technology, hoping to make transport and delivery cheaper and faster to customers. UPS launched its drone testings earlier this month, successfully delivering a package to a residence.

Intelligent Energy have logged loads more patents since last summer. R&D is very much alive and well in the business model.

Most notably the development of Gas Cartridges for the aerial Drone Industry that could earn far more revenue than the sale of fuel cells.

Intelligent Energy surges on US drone deal

(ShareCast News) - Shares in Intelligent Energy surged on Thursday after the company said it has signed a deal with the US's PINC to supply its air cooled fuel cell systems for unmanned aerial vehicles for an undisclosed sum.

This marks the group's first sale of fuel cell systems for UAVs as it moves forward with the commercialisation of its technology.

California-based PINC uses UAVs to identify and orchestrate hard-to-reach inventory and assets in the global supply chain and provides yard management, finished vehicle logistics, and inventory robotics solutions to the world's largest manufacturers, retailers and contract logistics providers.

Intelligent Energy's fuel cell systems for UAVs offer longer flight time, fast refuel capabilities and flexibility for varying payloads, addressing some of the biggest challenges for users.

Julian Hughes, senior vice president of Intelligent Energy, said: "I am delighted to announce the first sales of our fuel cell systems for UAV application. PINC is leading the way with the use of hydrogen fuel cell UAVs in the supply chain and we are certain they will be impressed with the benefits our fuel cells will offer over conventional batteries. We look forward to a long relationship with them."

PINC will operate the fuel cell powered UAVs alongside battery operated UAVs as part of its inventory robotics offering, which provides real-time inventory tracking by air.

This sort of stock is the next big thing since IT! They have a huuuuuuuge potential to get the share price back to £ well tipped the sort of stocks to buy and hold under 20p is a steal! Surprised it is only 9p after hitting 17p traders out now I feel! This will start to move!! And I'm gonna add £3k more! Gla!
