...PINC chief executive Matt Yearling said: "PINC is committed to providing innovative solutions that deliver maximum value to our customers.

"Joining forces with an industry leader like Intelligent Energy will enable our inventory robotics solutions to perform more effectively and efficiently, thereby transforming the way organisations do inventory checks inside and outside of manufacturing plants and warehouses."

Working prototypes of Intelligent Energy's fuel cell systems for UAVs were showcased at last year's InterDrone conference in Las Vegas.

....They offer near silent operation, making them an attractive replacement to traditional diesel generators.

It comes hot on the heels of an announcement confirming the Metropolitan Police are to test a fleet of Suzuki scooters powered by electricity made from Intelligent Energy's hydrogen fuel cells.

The business is providing fuel cell stacks to the Met designed and engineered in the UK for a fleet of Suzuki Burgman scooters.

The bike was the world's first fuel cell scooter to achieve European Union approval.

NEWS REALLY GETTING AROUND THE MARKET NOW:

(ShareCast News) - Shares in Intelligent Energy surged on Thursday after the company said it has signed a deal with the US's PINC to supply its air cooled fuel cell systems for unmanned aerial vehicles for an undisclosed sum.
This marks the group's first sale of fuel cell systems for UAVs as it moves forward with the commercialisation of its technology.

California-based PINC uses UAVs to identify and orchestrate hard-to-reach inventory and assets in the global supply chain and provides yard management, finished vehicle logistics, and inventory robotics solutions to the world's largest manufacturers, retailers and contract logistics providers.

Intelligent Energy's fuel cell systems for UAVs offer longer flight time, fast refuel capabilities and flexibility for varying payloads, addressing some of the biggest challenges for users.

I was informed by a Cambridge chemical engineering recent graduate that hydrogen fuel cell technology was still far away, so todays announcement is a surprise to me...a pleasant one. Lets see how this commercialisation pans out today and over the coming weeks

The company stand to make a lot of revenue just from gas cartridge sales for drones/ phones and IOT devices like door bells for example.

Lets try guessing that if revenue for a gas cartridge is going to be $10 and in the industrial drone market a user needs three refills/ day. They might use typically three cartridges each day. That's a 1000/ year.

On 10,000 customers that's a $100 million USD revenue stream....and 10,000 customers is not a lot as the market opens up.

This is going to be huge for IEH imo.
