02/4/2002 00:14 | I don't think the young lady is very eloquent. The ""inventor" of Freeserve" - wonder how many patents he filed on this invention. Difficult to take seriously anything written by such an illiterate journalist. "Do you plan to sell any of your huge 57.5% stake Mr Wilkinson?" "No, I'm jealously guarding them." I'm afraid the market action speaks a lot louder than any words on this stock. | mug punter
01/4/2002 07:29 | because he says 'pretty recession-proof' maybe. | duffinvestor
31/3/2002 19:35 | Thanks for the link. I have read the Citywire article and I think the young lady has no clue. This part made me laugh.... "The biggest problem for investors is that Peter Wilkinson, among other things the inventor of Freeserve, knows a good thing when he sees it and is currently jealously guarding his 57.5% stake in InTechnology." So that's why shares were sold by a retiring director at 75p last summer when the market price was 225p. A more significant passage is this one.... "Although Wilkinson thinks the market is ‘awful’ at the moment and showing little sign of a turn round, storage and backup do tend to be pretty recession-proof." ...where the part after the comma seems a non-sequitur. If it's recession-proof, why does he need to say the market is 'awful'? | charlie

27/3/2002 09:08 | There appears to be some upside here. They are currently pushing very hard on virtual back-ups and are winning some large customers in this area. Compaq have put some skin in the game as well. The merger of HP and Compaq will have no downside effect how can it? The opposite is indeed true where the channels which compaq open up will be multiplied by the channels which HP bring to the table. Be in no doubt that Compaq are very serious about supporting Intechnology | paddyfool

20/3/2002 16:47 | ITO continues to look diabolical. Massive 1,500,000 MM sell at 3p below bid just after the close. Just wonder how the Compaq/HP merger will sqeeze them since they appear to be big resellers of Compaq and HP kit. Maybe the one of the objectives of the merger is to stop middle men such as ITO taking a cut out of the technology. | mug punter

14/3/2002 11:59 | The fact that the ITO share price has failed to recover following the end of the bid talks with Telecity sends out a very clear signal that the market does not rate ITO paper. In fact it is still on the slide indicating that the the market is getting wise to what they are all about. | mug punter
