If anyone interested keep an eye on TAP it has started moving today after months of doing almost nothing, it went from 80-160 very quick last time, it's profitable and pays dividends all imho dyor, as for this I think initial euphoria has worn off hence not moving much, just wait for trading statement as that's when will really take off now is a good time to build all imho dyor

Interesting post Hotting. I actually wondered if they have 'copied' the idea from Aussie hair products, also from Australia, also, natural products and very well respected in the hair industry as being one of the best products that everyday customers can buy easily over the counter. Their packaging is similarly 'cheap' looking compared to some which I think appeals to the sensible customer who doesn't mind paying for a quality product but doesn't want to pay a fortune for its relatively useless packaging.

I visited my local Superdrug store today here in the UK to check out IDP's Skinny Tan products.

I first looked among the sun tan lotions but found nothing.

I then asked an Assistant if they stocked Skinny Tan and was directed to an entire section of four shelves for self-tanning products.

There I am pleased to say I found six of the Skinny Tan products.

Two things struck me:

1) The Skinny Tan items were one of the two most expensive ranges at over £10, the other slightly more expensive one being the St Tropez range (nothing to do with Skinny Tan). Most other products from other companies were sub £5.

2) Skinny Tan's box packaging looked less flashy than the others and certainly less flashy than St Tropez's.

It occurred to me this is smart marketing.

1) The margins on Skinny Tan at that price must be substantial.

2) The high price would make you feel you are getting a better product than the cheaper items, but the price was still slightly cheaper than St Tropez. A buyer might therefore buy Skinny Tan instead of more expensive St Tropez or the cheaper items.

3) The less flashy box packaging of Skinny Tan might make you feel like you are buying a bargain product but you are still actually paying a premium price.

AGM is December 15th at which they will probably give a verbal indication of how things are going. I expect an official Update in January, which is three months after the last one. Expect new product launches in 2017 and continued growth in sales. Michael Hume comes onboard in February.
