16/5/2012 14:27 | GHHGHH... It has been quietly trailed that eCorp can exit....., only spent £1.2mm of the £22mm they "agreed" to spend, eCorp look like they are leaving, who'll fund Portland now....? 30th April 2012 Interims "Following a refocusing of eCORP's European operations, agreements are being negotiated to restructure their interests in the Portland project, and the 26th Round offshore petroleum licence." 15th Nov 2011: Finals "InfraStrata has a 50% interest in the project together with partner eCORP International, LLC("eCORP"). eCORP acquired its 50% interest in the project in October 2010 for agreeing to fund the on-going expenditure of Portland Gas Limited (up to the next £22.9m), >>>> subject to options to exit the project by relinquishing its equity interest | kim_clay
16/5/2012 13:44 | Thanks. It's big news if they haven't! Do you have a contact at INFA you could ask? | ghhghh
16/5/2012 12:33 | the agreement does not mention minimums or even the opt out clauses so to be honest not exactly that informative...looks from the release a firm commitment but i have definately seen that ecorp had options to reduce it's equity commitment. | kooba
16/5/2012 12:20 | That eCorp have not simply walked away implies some sort of an obligation? Do you know if there was a minimum commitment? | ghhghh
16/5/2012 12:06 | for info. re ecorp..from the original agreement there were opt outs so i don't think there is any recourse on them...just not the right partner by the looks of things and can only hope we attract better partners to take the project forward in the near term. | kooba
16/5/2012 11:55 | i had a chat with the management on that very point recently as the ecorp "refocusing" after spending as far as i can tell only £1.4m of their earn in leaves our principal project in something of a grey area going forward with regard to next stage funding, was told that there should be some clarity shortly as to the structure of the project going forward which i understood could include some new proactive shareholders...will have to wait and see...certainly appears ecorp sat on their hands and have not moved the project forward since their committment.we do have a spade ready fully planning complient onshore storage project second to none..but we do need the right partner[s]!! sounded genuinely excited about the company's prospects and with funding in place for central costs for well over 12 months we should have some newsflow from a number of areas of activity to look forward to. the new portland focus of finding gas into a gas power station, using energy to create heat source to mine salt caverns, market extracted salt and then be able carbon capture with limited infrastructure in the caverns sounds a rather good and very backable plan..our asset value is £28m against that £5m market cap...if we get a restructuring of portland project reaffirming the implied £22m value [what we have spent!]on that project then i am sure we will see some realism return to the company's valuation...in the meantime i take this as a very good opportunity on a medium/long term prospective..not without risk but the risk reward looking compelling. | kooba
16/5/2012 11:30 | eCorp committed to £23m of expenditure but have done how much? Now 'change of focus'. So how much compensation can INFA screw out of them versus INFA cap of £5m? | ghhghh
15/5/2012 18:00 | Just distressed selling... the company's finances are solid and the externally funded projects all offer potential this year....company seems in a better position than it has been for years yet the shares are at their lowest.be good to get some clarification on the core portland project following the comments re ecorp but i expect an update in the near future which should clarify the way ahead there.big discount to assets and some very interesting prospects...picked a few up at 6p today and having done a bit more research this pm will probably add more if there are dips. looks like the finance director agrees !!
