29/4/2009 17:46 | This news is dated TWO days after Infonic was declared to be in administration!!! So what date was the extension agreed ? ATLAS Consortium Secures Additional Phase of DII(F) Contract WEBWIRE Thursday, February 12, 2009 The Ministry of Defence (MOD) and ATLAS Consortium have agreed an extension to its DII (Future) (DII(F)) footprint to the Above Secret domain in a deal worth £191 million to 2015. The ATLAS Consortium will deliver DII Increment 2c, which will provide a version of DII which is capable of handling material classified as Above Secret and allow different parts of the intelligence community to communicate more easily with one another. This is an add-on to the ten year contract to modernise and create a single coherent MOD information infrastructure, awarded in March 2005. The contract now covers four increments with a value of £3.5 billion. DII(F) will replace a number of information systems throughout the MOD with a single, more efficient information infrastructure. The programme is one of the largest IT infrastructure ventures in the world, providing enhanced capabilities to over 300,000 Users in more than 2,000 locations worldwide. Increment 2c will support a number of key Operations and Intelligence Users across the MOD. Ultimately it will replace a number of legacy systems and is a vital part of the Department's wider initiative to improve intelligence gathering and exploitation, known as Defence Intelligence Modernisation Programme. This latest contract enhancement sends another strong message to the market of the trust that the MOD place in ATLAS to deliver this critical capability fundamental to realising the MOD's vision of a single integrated information infrastructure. aimo, dyor | broomsticks
29/4/2009 15:08 | Thanks for that egoi, I wonder who wrote it as one of the links contains some very interesting wording. I WILL follow it up. If it takes me years I will wait for the mistake that in my opinion arrogance and greed invariably commits. aimo, dyor | broomsticks
29/4/2009 11:20 | Don't know if any of the reference links at the bottom of this page might be useful to anyone? | egoi
29/4/2009 10:32 | Anyone know when British Communications Plc exited Infonic? Thanks in advance. | broomsticks
27/4/2009 15:12 | Broomsticks - I didn't try the other site again - but I think I will stick to this thread - been a bit busy on other things. But interesting to see that they are winning contracts on the back of their fleeced investors! I will try to follow them, as I guess there will be the possibility that they float again to fleece another set of investors and that is when perhaps we can be most effective?!!! 27/4/2009 14:55 | The web doesn't always make people as invisible as they think it does. Sometimes we may as well post a photograph or ham it up on the radio. (8(l) | broomsticks
27/4/2009 13:46 | well there seems little press out there on infonic. unless sopme serios financial insituations have lost money i cannot see naything happening here as who will finance/investigate what went on in dec/jan. also i think fsa etc are tied up on number of other issues. i guess it will be brushed under the carpet. i cant help but feel the system helps out situations like this and encourages bad behaviour | pabloscaramanga
27/4/2009 13:44 | Bottom line is that clearly Infonic is now a private company run as far as anyone can tell (well me anyway!) run by the same people as before but private shareholders have nothing. Why? I don't have a clue, except for suspecting personally that greed may have had a lot to do with the outcome, but what I do think for sure is that divide and rule has worked in the interests of someone! | egoi
27/4/2009 13:34 | H101, I believe that you are genuine in what you say so, In answer to your question I haven't had contact with anyone other than on this BB, but it isn't for want of trying, I am left suspicious of websites where there is a lack of two way communication. I ask myself why there is restricted membership and why it is deemed necessary to set up an inner circle. What is being hidden? Being averse to one way streets as they usually lead to dead ends I tested the water, so to speak. I posted some factual information on the other site and lo and behold it appeared on Advfn, about the only factual information that has appeared on here recently. You may be aware that I have been busy collating my collection of data about Corpora/Infonic. I have also been analysing it and placing it in chronological order. Then I researched and checked countless times to make sure that my findings and conclusions are correct. Infonic only scratches the surface of this rotten setup which stretches far and wide, big fish and little fish from all walks of life. It seems H101 that the more money some people have the more they want. So now H101, after reading the story again I am left asking myself the question who do I trust? Quite seriously and honestly, who do I trust? It's mind boggling!!! aimo, dyor | broomsticks
27/4/2009 07:51 | Pablo, the point is that we all know something strange has gone on. But what is being done about it? From this perspective, the "protest" group(s) are as bad as the company. Who comprise the protest group(s)? What meetings have been held? (with lawyers, with regulatory bodies, with large shareholders, with law enforcement) When were they held? What was the outcome? (strategic plan, give up) All we get is the same old BS (it wouldn't be in our interests, something is happening, we'll let you know). Cynic I may be, but that is because the so-called protestors use the same tactics of non-information as the company. Is this all a cover-up to delude ex-shareholders into thinking someone else is doing the protesting, whereas they are doing SFA and laughing at us? broomsticks - have you had any credible contact with any protest group? You seem to be one of the most clued-up people regarding the company. I thought the protestors would be beating a path to your door. | h101
24/4/2009 15:58 | H101 - i can understand your cynicism were all suffering from the lack of focus and direction. The $25m deal details are below. What we now have is a 'smoking gun' - no way a big deal this size would lead to a valuation of the company around £3m. Will let you all know how we get a long. 24/4/2009 13:58 | joestraughan, Did you manage to become a member of the other site I keep trying, but no joy. Finished going through my data and other problems have eased up so I have a bit more time to do some posting. We will have our day, now is only the beginning. ;-> aimo, dyor | broomsticks
24/4/2009 12:53 | better then nothing being out there. esp if its true they have bagged a 25m deal that would have seen infonics share price (and our investemnt) revitalised | pabloscaramanga
24/4/2009 07:49 | I'm in a cynical mood today, but looking over all the Infonic shareholders' sites I think we could be being played for fools again. How many times have we seen "some of us are getting together to do something but we can't tell you what and when". Has anyone done anything they are willing to publish? Until you do stop raising false hopes or stirring unrealistic thoughts of revenge. Put up or shut up. | h101
23/4/2009 17:58 | this USD25m deal would have been in the pileline for a long while. | pabloscaramanga
23/4/2009 17:44 | where is this $25m deal announced? should govt bodies be dealing with companies that went into adminstration only 3 months ago! if this deal is true then INFonics share price would have been quite healthy now and us PIs not shafted | pabloscaramanga
23/4/2009 16:56 | Until now there seemed little hope of getting some sort of compensation or reinstating our share ownership of Infonic as there seemed to be some argument that the company simply ran out of cash and could not carry on. However it seems more lilkely that some sort of orchestration of the company into Adminstration 'could' have taken place if only a few months after being sold 'cheaply' to the ex directirs via Lakehouse the company suddenly hits the jackpot of getting the £5m MOD deal which didnt close completely in December 2008 and also now a $25m US navy deal announced lieterally 8 or 9 weeks after throwing in the towel. Please register on www.infonicplc.com A few of us are planning to pursue the how adminstrators and the independent valuers could have valued the company around £m - £4m and also investigate if ex-direcor(s) who may have orchestrated this whole situation to benefit by the post administration buy out with the knowledge the company was about to hit the big time. | therainmaker
