Chuffin you might be jumping the gun there, we havnt any evidence of improved sales yet. That said I will be disappointed if we dont see improvements in IDMs sales. The Atom stuff is just a little extra

When the results come out i would be keen to see a breakdown of actual IDM medical sales and those of the Atom product they distribute. Is it possible the medical mattresses are not performing as we wish and sales are being masked by good sales of the Atom product??

I agree that there is probably scope for a takeover, for a big company with funds and research resources to explore what they can do with the IP.

It was the mistake that IDM made originally, to go off chasing a huge range of different applications, without the resources to do it properly.

They have done very well to focus on the medical side and become profitable, but some else may want to take us back to undersoil heating for example.

I would be very happy with a 20m buy out price!

I think 3M with scratch our itch with a 15-20m t/o within 18 months, we just need to see some significant growth in business globally and the technology will be bought out IMHO. One way or another this looks a winner.

Interesting to see the Geratherm product offering at the Arab Health show.

hxxp://geratherm.de/temperature-management/

Running it through google translate it isn't clear that their product is not utilising that similar tech as IDM, it isn't clear either way to be honest so wondering if anyone has looked into Geratherm already.

Care Essentials are using air heating: hxxp://www.careessentials.com.au/CareEssentialsProducts.htm

The other patient warming company in attendance is Istanbul Medikal: hxxp://www.istanbulmedical.com/ Again the tech looks similar to IDM at first glance.

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the competitors using what appears to be similar tech. particularly from an IP pov. Otherwise as davidosh says an excellent opportunity for orders with limited competition also exhibiting.

In January 2014 Inditherm will be participating at the Arab Health exhibition held annually in Dubai, affording an excellent opportunity to showcase their products with a focus on distributors and customers from the Middle East and Africa in particular.

Inditherm have been at this exhibition and conference over the last four days so hopefully potential orders and good news from that event....

Dear David,

You last post did me no favours! :)

In any case, I look forward to your write-up.

Foolish best

I think you guys have captured my thoughts on Inditherm. It is my TMF NFSC share competition pick for 2014 so I will certainly be disappointed if it does not end the year very significantly higher than where we are now.

it is very illiquid.

if you want to buy even say, £10,000, you pretty much have to work on the basis that you will be buying in small lots and your own buying will move the share price up.

you simply cannot, in this share, pick up any decent volume at the "current" price- you will move the price as you buy.

however, waiting is a very dangerous game, since, as you say, and has history shows, if a little bit of news provokes some buying then it can double or triple in an instant and you are left behind.

the mkt cap is a squeak under 5 million and they have 1.5million cash, so the business is only valued at 3.5 million. as they are now at breakeven, i think there is still scope for a significant rerating if they can show profitability and then profit growth.

I think the comments in the last interims, that further investment will slow the transition into profit, while perhaps disappointing for short termists, shows that the company is confident of its direction over the next few years.

I aim to exit when the share price is at 25p at the end of 2015! (though, with this one, we could spike to 25p in a week- any week!)

Interesting, thanks. There were quite a few drip sells a couple of weeks back which appear to have stopped but, that said, those drip sells did appear to be mopped up as they went along.

Good luck with getting yours.

Nothing to buy Greenroom. I have been trying with my broker for the last 2 weeks. Dribs and drabs here and there, but it is going to be tough to get anything. Knowing my luck the shareprice will rocket with an unexpected contract win in the next few days :(

Best

Been a bit more buying this week and sells appear to have dried up. I'm guessing MMs have a supply as they seem to be fairly happy at this level (for now).

Yes, but interesting trades.
4856 @10p,
117k @10.09p,
91k @9.07p
149k @10.5p

so what MMs quote appears just to be noise IMO as trades not really relating to what we are being told. Anybody tried to get a quote at all?

Thanks, came in useful.

Have dipped a little toe in here this morning with a small speculative position. I see it as being at a similar stage to a couple of others I have bought in the past, IDG and THAL, both of which had a niche product and both were just showing signs of first profit when I bought them. Hoping for good progress going forward.

Thanks to those that helped my research and GLA.

Hi all, new here and have kind of stumbled across IDM thanks to twitter. Have had a brief look and wondered if anyone can help with a few things before I delve a bit deeper.

I see from the interims (and a Yorkshire post article) that they hit a maiden profit for the 1st half 2013 but can't find any forecasts for the full year, just wondered if there are any (ideally revenue forecasts would be useful)?

Also I see from their website that 2012 is the last date for a report (nothing for 2013 interims), is that correct or did they issue something?

I also note that cash burn over the last year was minimal with still quite a healthy cash position (that is unless they issued equity which I have missed?) - Are they likely to be any significant drains on that cash reserve in the near term or does that provide them with working capital moving forward?

TIA

Edit:
And final one if I may. "our strategic shift to being fully focussed as a Medical business" was in the Chairman's comments in the interims yet there remains 'Industrial" and "Other" sections to the website. Are these areas now not relevant?

If it works here then the is no reason it should not be used world wide, but it will take time and rollout may take time to speed up. Intresting times.

It is certainly difficult to see hospitals not following NICE guidance that saves them money, the only question is how quickly they switch from existing technology and how large the market is.

Yes Spud and I are rowing in the same boat on this one and as we have both been shareholders in LOQ for eight times longer than we have been in IDM then I think you are all assured we know how to play the patient long game that is true investing rather than trading shares in a company !

I probably see a different outcome here to those who are mentioning industrial uses and I am very comfortable with the growth in the medical division but the NHS and similar hospital/healthcare buyers are not the quickest to change and upgrade product so patience is always the keyword here.

dth - They said that about LO-Q (you know who you are) when it was 4p & in a very similar situation having just about achieved break even. It's now £7.20 and made me a millionaire..spud
