The second film is tentatively tilted Mr and Mrs Khanna, starring Salman Khan and Lara Dutta. It is scheduled to go on the floors in November 2007, and pre production work is on. Sohail Khan Productions was launched in 1998 with one of the biggest hit films of that year, Pyar Kiya to Darna Kya, starring Salman Khan and Kajol. Their subsequent film Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya was another hit in 2005, grossing INR 650 million at the worldwide box office. Says Sohail Khan of Sohail Khan Productions, "I am delighted to work with The Indian Film Company on these two new projects, following our overwhelming recent success with Partner and we are confident that our combined experience will deliver more success." Both the films will have Salman Khan in the lead. Salman Khan has been one of the most successful stars of Hindi Cinema for over 15 years, delivering some of the biggest hits of all times, such as Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Karan Arjun, Judwaa, Pyar Kiya to Darna Kya, Biwi No. 1, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Tere Naam, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (World Wide Box Office Gross INR 800 million), Maine Pyar Kyon Kiya (World Wide Box Office Gross INR 650 million), No Entry (World Wide Box Office Gross INR 1.00 billion) and the latest Blockbuster Partner (World Wide Box Office Gross INR 1.35 billion). The film, a musical romantic comedy set in North India starring acclaimed actors Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, is slated for release in October this year. The score for the film has been composed by acclaimed musical director Pritam. The title of the film is being chosen through a consumer contest and will be revealed later this month. The acquisition includes the domestic and international rights for theatre and home entertainment together with the music, satellite and all other ancillary rights including digital, wireless and new media rights. 06/10/2007 15:11 | July 20, 2007 The Indian Film Company Limited The Indian Film Company Limited further invests #12 Million into a portfolio of six Bollywood films The Indian Film Company Limited ("IFC" or the "Company"), a specialist film investment company which was admitted to AIM on 18 June 2007 ("Admission") raising #55 million, has made further investments totalling over #12 million into six film projects which will be produced within the forthcoming year. As a result of these investments, and in addition to the initial portfolio of films in which the Company invested at Admission, the Company now has 20 films in its portfolio and has committed approximately 60 per cent. of funds raised at Admission. The first of the films, "Loot" directed by Ranjneesh Thakur will go into production in August 2007. This will be followed by "Masquerade" directed by Kundan Shah and "Fruit N Nut", directed by Kunal Vijayakar, both of which will go into production in November 2007 . For 2008, the Company has invested in "Bombay Velvet" to be directed by Anurag Kashyap, the remake of "Chashme Badoor" directed by Onir, and a further production in 2009 to be directed by Priyadarshan, one of the most popular Indian film Directors. As destiny would have it, on the train he meets Geet (Kareena Kapoor) - a beautiful but annoyingly talkative girl who is leaving Mumbai to go her hometown - Bhatinda (Punjab). As she tries to get him back on the train, she ends up missing it and the two find themselves stranded on a desolate station with no luggage or money.
