27/12/2021 21:36 | US natural gas up 9.03% today - the largest daily gain since October on chillier forecasts. | bountyhunter
27/12/2021 20:10 | Cash cow in the making once first gas comes. Also carbon efficient. Should get a BIG following because of that. | aishah

26/12/2021 18:26 | IOG one of ShareProphets tips of the year for 2022. | someuwin
26/12/2021 17:45 | I imagine the ships will get here and park up until the price is where they want it. | flyer61

26/12/2021 14:11 | Yes so gas prices are likely to stay somewhere near £3/therm or the tankers may as well stay with the Asian market. £3/therm or even £2/therm is still way above what IOG planned for so the main share price mover is still first gas imo. Gas prices dropped significantly from extreme highs just before Christmas but that didn't affect the IOG share price which continued to rise in anticipation of first gas. | bountyhunter
26/12/2021 14:06 | bountyhunter U.S. are taking advantage of prices ATM. Putin is holding talks with NATO next week and also with Germany so lets hope it doesn't do too much damage to the share price, if any! At least IOG is OUR gas and not 'Johnny Foreigners' (with which they could beat us with). Before all this gas huge price nonsense started IOG was still a good bet anyway. good luck all. | maxidi
26/12/2021 13:43 | From the SQZ discussion: OfficerDigby25 Dec '21 - 17:41 - 18867 of 18868 0 4 0 So price drop off in gas caused by LNG tankers on way to Asia rerouted to Europe. Because of desperate state of gas supplies in Europe Price of LNG in Asia last week was circa.$250 BOE. Or £3 a therm so. So that is the real bottom here. No way those boats turned around if they weren't paid more than that. bountyhunter25 Dec '21 - 20:02 - 18868 of 18868 Edit 0 2 0 Good point, and so is Asia just going to go without? I doubt it, so the price there will probably go up to secure future supplies. Diverted LNG tankers are just a sticking plaster solution. The supply is not unlimited or they would have been heading for Europe long before now. | bountyhunter
26/12/2021 13:38 | might be a bit of a pullback wed then | nemesis6
25/12/2021 10:52 | 'Unprecedented' gas price surge threatens national crisis, suppliers warn FTSE 100 rises 0.4pc as omicron fears ease; Pound hits one-month high Ambrose Evans-Pritchard: Imperial College's 'apocalyptic' claims about omicron deaths undermine faith in vaccines Sign up here for our daily business briefing newsletter Gas prices slumped this morning as a flotilla of US tankers headed for Europe to help ease the continent’s escalating energy crisis. At least 10 ships currently in transit are heading to Europe, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Another 20 are crossing the Atlantic, but are yet to declare their final destinations. The additional supplies will provide some much-needed respite ahead of looming winter shortages and as Russia fails to turn up the taps. Benchmark European prices and the UK equivalent shed 20pc today. Both had hit record highs earlier this week. | maxidi
25/12/2021 10:48 | Gas prices plunge as flotilla of tankers heads for Europe from USA. Milder forecasts for early January have also pushed down prices that soared to new highs this week. Didn't see that one coming! | maxidi
24/12/2021 17:50 | The Warren Buffet mob may not give in but they could go for 100%. I agree it would be potentially better for IOG shareholders to get further along the pipeline first though ;) (assuming gas prices remain historically high) | bountyhunter
24/12/2021 17:29 | Well, I hope not, as this has long distance runner potential imv and actually I can't see the Warren Buffet mob giving in. In fact, on the contrary, as he has long term player philosophy, I see it as Stage 1 on its way to be a very big vehicle. They are simpy too big to be bothered with minnows and the North Sea+ is ripe for a consolidator. And now they could become cash rich very quickly.... | bbluesky
24/12/2021 15:47 | Quite possibly, and then there is second gas etc so it shouldn't stop there. Even if progress continues to be erratic with gas futures so much higher than modelling predictions I agree with the suggestion made already that this could well be a takeover target once the gas is flowing - delivery of first gas is what the market wants to see! | bountyhunter
24/12/2021 15:10 | 45p is a given and 60p possibly on good sentiment on first gas | aimmafia
24/12/2021 14:23 | Bought IOG yesterday and again this morning. :o) | maxidi
24/12/2021 11:38 | Added, to be honest a further delay mentioning omicron wouldn't surprise me but with each RNS they get a bit closer to first gas and the figures are compelling. I expect them to get there in the end with first gas at some point in Q1 2022 and may even be pleasantly surprised. It would be a good start to 2022. | bountyhunter
24/12/2021 10:24 | LOL the Halcyon days of 31p a share. Expect over the Xmas and New year period the press will plagiarise the story for their columns of tips. Even at 60p it is only a forecast PE of 4. Hold on! | flyer61 |
