Pinkey.

They are ghosts mate, totally bland and completely uninspiring. For uninspiring read unelectable.

To get an incumbent president out you have to offer something different, something that the public want and can react to. These stiffs (and that dreadful Romney) will be forgotten before voters even turn up at teh booth.

Long Obama 2012 :O(

#9752 Do you have an issue with Pawlenty or Huntsman, mate? Other than the fact that they might actually be electable which seems to be the main criterion for you ruling folk out. I'd be interested as to which of their policies you (or graham) makes you think they are beyond the pale.

Its a tough one mate, though I shall rule out Worksops village idiot, based on his comments and demeanour yesterday.

He looked like teh panic had set in already.

Never been to Sandwich. I "heard" this morning that they cut the rough back in February and that the complete lack of rain means that it hasn't grown back anywhere near enough. Might suit a big , slightly wayward, hitter with a good short game then. Cabrera?

Althogh i will find it hard to discount the two northern irish boys albeit i think Mcilroy missed a trick not playing this weekend.

Any suggestions?

#9746 Pawlenty and Huntsman. I know graham thinks Pawlenty is a villain but I suspect that is purely on the grounds that I think he is okay and therefore graham assumes he is an international crypto-commie.

Morning MJ2.

Teh Huhne interview was borderline embarrassing too.

Marr - "Our Energy is some of the most expensive in Europe."
Huhne - "No it isnt, its some of the cheapest."

Ends.

Bet you are glad you missed teh gelf eh! First Ferguson and then that weather.

Hilarious advert yesterday between Marr and Miliband in which Marr allowed Miliband to declare that "He is at the centre of the political ground".

I know Marr is fully signed up, but surely even he flushed after allowing that to go through unchecked.

Aye, but the GOP shouldn't just give up and nominate someone with no chance. There are some decent moderates standing and, whilst their current biggest disadvantage is lack of name recognition, that could change very quickly with some well-placed speeches and the like.

#9735 That's what I've been trying to 'say' all along. Now you've acknowledged the risk in nominating a strident conservative, perhaps Golly can do a bit of moonwalking too.

#9739 Aye, but my finger is some way off the pulse at the moment.

!

About 150 people gathered in the Bull Green area for the EDL protest while about 50 took part in the other demonstration in Park Ward.

West Yorkshire Police said about 200 officers were deployed to the events.

I note teh EDL demonstration in Halifax over teh weekend only resulted in a handful of arrests (not sure which 'side' but they were from Bradford).
