I would expect any would be bidder for i.c.i. will have to pay in the region of £8.00 per share,i do believe that a special divi or shares would be offered to share holders in away of retaining i.c.i from would be preditors.

Hello Peter,
Yes, it looks like the bid is coming, headline news on ticker tape of Bloomberg today. If it doesn't and share price rises substantially together with volume, then the takeover panel will probably seek clarifications.

Trusting that your spelling of morning all as 'mourning all' doesn't turn into a real mourn for us holders.
Things looking good.
All the best.

not much in the way of volume thus far but as per last few days we seem to see it pick up dramatically when the US opens.. as for the price it drifts off then buyers come in.. does look encouraging for a test of the 560 closing high in May..

Scottish widows stake building to 4%,maybe takeover is not that far away.
THIS WILL GET TO £6.00 VERY VERY QUICKLY.
ok s/widows are investment portfolio for pension's, but one thing is for sure they do not invest in Mickey mouse companys, thats why they are rated as one of the best in Europe for managed funds

volume certainly picked up after 3pm, to a very strong 20m+ interesting to see all the dips were bought strongly to push the share higher.. whereas yesterday there was strong resistance around 532.. we simply cannot keep rising like this without some sort of statement or announcement.. all staying well over in the US, chances are we will see a closing high tmrw..

Hi Peter, this morning you were saying you thought it was worth £8.00. Why would you consider selling if it goes above £5.60?
