Header updated to reflect news, earnings record and forecasts for the current year. I'll tidy it up further when opportunity arises.

finnCap indicate,

Largest contract win, and trading update

"Alongside a trading update revealing 1H performance in line with unchanged expectations for the year to April, Ideagen has announced its largest NHS contract win to date. The £1m contract, of which 65% of the value accrues to the current year, is for provision of dart/KW to Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, enabling digitisation and consolidation of records across sites and functions to make sure patient information is available at point of care. The win reiterates the fact that dart/KW is well positioned to compete for similar contracts available from the 75% of trusts which are yet to implement a similar, required, solution. 1H trading is robust, with strong growth on last year, and the integration of EIBS, acquired in April, successfully completed. Target 50p reiterated, with a continuing expectation for both organic growth and growth from acquisitions."

While the respected TechMarketView also comment;

Information management software provider Ideagen is continuing to see success in the UK healthcare market. It’s just signed its largest single NHS contract to date, a £1m deal with Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for the supply and implementation of its dart/KW ‘patient information solution’.

The software enables the Trust to digitise and consolidate patient records across a number of sites to ensure patient information is available at the point of care. This fits nicely with the Government’s drive to make the NHS paperlite by 2018 (see Hunt wants ‘paperlessR17; NHS by 2018), so it’s easy to see why Ideagen is excited about the prospect of addressing the c75% of Trusts not currently using a similar solution.

The contract value - 65% of which is expected to be recognised in the current financial year - will also provide a significant financial boost to Ideagen, which turned over £9m in the year to end of April 2014 (see Ideagen’s organic growth boosted by NHS business).

With trading described as ‘robust’ in all areas of the business, both revenues and adjusted EBITDA for the first half are predicted to show significant growth over the same period last year. It’s encouraging to see growth supported by both a strong organic performance and the acquisition of EIBS (see here), which has now been successfully integrated. As we said back in March, Ideagen is now firmly on our ‘ones to watch’ list in NHS IT (see Ideagen proves 'one to watch' in NHS IT)."

Personally, I'm delighted with the progress DH & the team are making. Long may it continue.

GHF

Sorry to say, I thought the video was really poor. It starts well with the nice graphics etc but just becomes long, boring and repetitive. The key thing for me was, it never answered the key question, 'what is CMT?'. I'm still none the wiser! Not really impressed at all.

Looks like a contract win is needed to bring back the buyers

TechMarketViews thoughts on results:-

"After updating on its full year back in May (see here), compliance-based information management software provider Ideagen has delivered an impressive set of results for what is its first full year of trading since admission to AIM on 2nd July 2012 (see here).

Headline revenue for the year ended 30 April was up 38% to £9m, and pre-tax profits were up 36% to £2.6m, which kept the margin steady at a healthy 29%. Of course Ideagen has been making acquisitions over the past year or so notably in the UK healthcare and compliance sectors (see here and work back). Nonetheless, organic growth was still 13%.

It appears that all the organic growth was from Ideagen's healthcare (NHS-focused) business, which grew organically by 16%. This was helped by the release of a new product, dart/KW, an enterprise scale Patient Information solution, and re-organisation, moving sales and technical resources from its commercial business into the NHS team.

Dart/KW looks set to be a significant new opportunity area for Ideagen. Management estimates that only 25% of the 192 NHS Trusts in the UK have implemented a trust-wide patient document repository – Ideagen has supplied 10 trusts to date, or 5% of that addressable market. Last month's acquisition of EIBS (see here) should also help since it adds capability in the area of web portals. Ideagen now intends to bring this capability together with Dart/KW to offer 'trust wide information portals that can offer a single view of patient information from multiple data sources'.

This sounds like Ideagen will be edging closer towards much larger rival EMIS, which is carving out its turf in 'connected health
