The Directors have undertaken a review of both the advantages and disadvantages of maintaining admission of the Ordinary Shares to trading on AIM, and have concluded that the Cancellation and the Re--Registration to be in the best interests of the Company and the Shareholders as a whole and most likely to promote the success of the Company. Accordingly, the Directors unanimously recommend Shareholders to vote in favour of the Resolutions to be proposed at the General Meeting as they intend to do in respect of their interests representing, in aggregate, 2 per cent. of the Ordinary Shares of the Company. | peterbill

20/4/2010 08:06 | Does not sound good - Could this lead to a total cancellation of the contract ? Anyone any direct knowledge ? "The reduction in revenue outlook has occurred primarily due to a requirement by an Indian telecommunications company, BSNL, to re-tender a multi- billion dollar infrastructure programme, into which IdaTech expected to sell several hundred systems this year. 16/11/2009 07:41 | New Distribution Agreement with ACME IdaTech plc (AIM IDA.L), a global leader in the development and manufacture of clean and reliable extended run backup power fuel cell products for telecommunication applications today announces an update on the status of the supply agreement between IdaTech, ACME Group ("ACME") and Ballard Power Systems Inc. ("Ballard") signed in October 2008 ("Supply Agreement"). On 23 September 2009, the Company announced that a milestone in the product acceptance process, due in October 2009, was likely to be missed. The Supply Agreement allowed an extension of the product acceptance process of up to 6 months if IdaTech elected to submit an acceptable remediation plan by 15 November 2009. IdaTech did not submit such a plan and today announces that the Supply Agreement between IdaTech, ACME and Ballard terminated effective on 15 November 2009. In place of the Supply Agreement, IdaTech and ACME have entered into a Distribution Agreement ("Distribution Agreement") for ElectraGen* backup power products. Under the terms of this agreement, ACME and IdaTech will work together to develop the Indian telecom market for back up fuel cell systems and in particular for the large scale deployment of the natural gas fuel cell system, which was the focus of the original Supply Agreement. The natural gas fuel cell system will incorporate the Ballard liquid cooled FCgenTM 1300 stack | limousine
10/10/2008 06:39 | An incredible contract, considering they've only made a few dozen systems so far: In the current climate, there must be worries about whether they can raise working capital from the market or Investec to support them. Reluctantly, one to pass over. | jonwig
30/9/2008 10:52 | H1 results. Growth in sales, but costs also high (R&D, relocation, etc.). Cash burn around $23m annualised. cash left $2m. "Investec, IdaTech's majority shareholder has indicated its current intention to provide financial support for the Company. IdaTech may seek to raise additional funds in due course." Looks a bit of a cliffhanger. | jonwig

12/2/2008 08:42 | Feb 11, 2008 12:36 ET Motorola Selects IdaTech Fuel Cell System to Power Telecommunications Installation at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona BEND, OR--(Marketwire - February 11, 2008) - IdaTech plc, a global fuel cell solutions provider, has been selected by Motorola to install and operate the ElectraGen5 XTR system in the Motorola "Real World Showcase" exhibit at the GSMA Mobile World Congress conference in Barcelona, Spain, February 11 - 14. The IdaTech fuel cell solution will power Motorola's telecommunications equipment -- including a BTS station, LCD display and a PC -- for the duration of the event. In addition to highlighting the IdaTech fuel cell system, the Motorola "Real World Showcase" will focus on a commitment to sustainable energy with other alternative power sources such as photovoltaic and wind. Operating on a liquid fuel, the IdaTech ElectraGen5 XTR system provides a dependable and compact solution for Motorola with no requirements for onsite hydrogen storage which enables quicker and easier installation. By reforming and purifying HydroPlus, a mixture of methanol and water, the ElectraGen5 XTR system provides truly extended run backup power. In field installations, the ElectraGen5 XTR system provides an economically sound solution to help avoid traditional challenges associated with hydrogen delivery and storage. The IdaTech fuel cell system is ideal for remote sites such as telecommunications towers where frequent hydrogen delivery is not possible. IdaTech President and CEO Hal Koyama said, "Motorola is a leading global telecommunications equipment and service provider with a dedication to reliable service, and our collaboration at the Mobile World Congress is an ideal chance to display IdaTech's ElectraGen fuel cell products and reformer technology to a range of global customers. Operating for the duration of the event, the ElectraGen5 XTR dramatically demonstrates the power of IdaTech's proprietary liquid fuel reforming technology and its ability to break through the 'hydrogen barrier' to mass adoption of fuel cells by avoiding expensive and difficult site compressed hydrogen."
