14/6/2009 07:41 | No reply from Imate. Etrade now agree shares may have value and will 'provide you with any and all information we have available that can benefit you in your endeavor to move or sell your shares.' Still looking for any information groups re: Imate shareholdings. | ned
27/5/2009 19:31 | Thank you for your email. If a stock is delisted we are unable to obtain a share certificate to send to you. You still own the shares under your nominee account however they are worthless. If you obtain from the company if they know of any broker that can hold these shares electronically, we may be able to transfer these to them electronically. ....I'll let you know what Imate have to say Geoff. | ned

21/5/2009 17:09 | Thanks Geoff Sadly that was the reply to my request for a certificate for the shares. email off to Etrade to try and sort things out:- Could you please let me know the legal position with regard to these shares as I still own them (being my share of the company) even though they have delisted, so must be entitled to a record - i.e a share certificate. We'll see ned | ned
20/5/2009 14:56 | Get E-trade to send you a certificate. Might cost 30 quid but at least you have your shares. | geoffcapes

06/5/2009 08:42 | Imate selling well in the UAE? I see Imate have released an unbreakble phone. They claim you can drive a car over it and it will still work! https://www.imate.co | hugepants
06/5/2009 08:38 | Good Morning, Someuwin,..... respect your point of view, expressed late last night after I'd hit the sack. And, obviously, I hope you're right about a scenario in which I-mate gets back on its feet and does well as a company while looking after shareholders in good faith. Unfortunately, there are countless stories about the way in which rogue companies and those that run them have shafted shareholders. This, sadly, is fact. Having expressed the obvious,I repeat the hope that I-Mate can make me look extremely silly. Best regards. | dyfiman
05/5/2009 22:26 | Incorrect dyfiman. If you held shares in IMTE at the time of delisting then you still own the same percentage of the company. The only difference is that the shares are no longer tradable on any market - although I believe you can still trade them on a matched bargain basis. There was no scam here - just that i-mate had various production problems at the time and the market refused to give them a serious rating. Morrison did the right thing by delisting. From what i understand the company is trading well with new models coming out, as long as it continues to grow then i think there's a bright future for it - and us as part owners. But know knows - only time will tell. | someuwin
05/5/2009 22:09 | Hello Someuwin.... I may be wrong... but.... I-Mate is delisted and I think, unless Morrison brings the company back on to Aim, we have lost everything. The scam, for some, is that you get on Aim... raise funds... use the funds..... then delist... having used the funds gained...but are giving now't...they just are allowed to go off radar, so to speak, having used raised funds, but not having to account for it. Of course, the funds come from PI's...... who are shafted when the company delist.... but the company, nevertheless, has used those funds in the meantime to do business... that, when they delist suddenly... is money used for themselves,. Delist, and there's no obligation to pay back those that, previously, were used as a conduit to raise money. Yet after all that, I-mate goes on trading. I think the authorities should have a look at Mr Morrison's strategy and company Ops. Stiff all for PI's who who shafted when suddenly I-mate delisted........ after raising funds as an AIM stock | dyfiman
05/5/2009 20:18 | I bought IMTE shares through selftrade and they automatically sent through a certificate after IMTE delisted. A contract note will only prove that you bought some at some point (you could of sold them again later) so afaik you do need a physical certificate to prove ownership. I peronally don't think morrison did anything wrong and I am happy to remain a shareholder in i-mate, i expect at some point we will be rewarded with special dividends, a float on some other market or a buyout. | someuwin
05/5/2009 20:01 | Hi again, Pelleeds. Thanks for the reply. Thankfully, I had a very small stake. Bought only a week or two before de-listing and on a complete whim..... because I thought their phones and market segment were an antidote to the wild and high flamboyance (and cost) of the major players who seem to think they have a God-given right to charge the earth for what others were apparently offering up at realistic prices. Still, even a few hundred quids worth down the drain is a kick in the gut. On a more positive note, is it remotely possible that an apparent shyster like Morrison (stressing the "apparent" as opposed to an outright statement), might feel some guilt?: enough to relist at some stage? Or perhaps he will see it as another chance to raise funds from gullible PI's before followed by a second de-listing? The world of shares, is, in many corners, murky to say the least and, at worst, Crooks' Corner! Best regards. | dyfiman
05/5/2009 16:48 | I dont know I went on live chat with halifax asking where that left me as they said basically theyve removed them from the system She didnt understand what I was saying I dont think. Asked how I could prove I owned them she said to use a print out of my original contract note. Cant get cerfified as they are suspended she reckoned. Might have a dig on the IMTE web site when I get a sec. | pelleeds1980
05/5/2009 16:19 | Pelleeds.... hi there.... can you explain what the ramifications are, please?? Wiped out as shareholders, perhaps?? | dyfiman
05/5/2009 15:36 | Just got corporate action: Further to the cancellation of listing on 18th November 2008, we have received notification that the I-Mate PLC shares are no longer eligible to be held within the UK Settlement System. Anyone else get this? | pelleeds1980
09/4/2009 13:56 | They are delisted meaning that you hold nil-value shares. You can wait until they relist or sell them in Trade-IT | dreamsurfer141

13/1/2009 13:23 | I notice expansys are selling the JAMA 101 and 201 and also the ultimate 9502 at a healthy discount. Are they clearing stock? I hope Microsoft combine their Zune with Windows Mobile (Zune Mobile) sooner rather than later. And I also hope that they sort out the very dated UI on it too. If they do then imate may have a chance with the services they offer and their ability to put together (arguably) decent phones. | dreamsurfer141
09/1/2009 19:43 | Anyone who chose not to sell should have received their share certificate now. Now all we we have to do is wait... | someuwin
