gm - which of your 2 posts rings true. In the 1st one you say "has not got an excess of over 25% of shares in free float" ... and the 2nd one states insts and pi's hold 27%. No way is Morrison going to pay 25p to holders at 18th November as there isnt enough cash in the pot for that and who would finance it?

The company is de-listing, Morrison isn't taking them over. Nothing in corporate law to say he must make an offer.

Where does this average price rule come from? I'm not trying to contradict you, I'm just curious, as so many aim companies shaft pi's and there seems little regulation on aim to protect pi's. Good luck to you if you can get 25p - but if instis and pi's own less than 25% here, I think it might be difficult?

goodmorning2 - don't own stock here - but I was in a similar situation with Smart Telecom (not so smart) -it was taken private and the owner bought up all the stock at next to nothing - obviously, if you don't want to sell, you just end up owning stock in a private company which you can't trade, unless you can negotiate with the owner - which is difficult to do!

You mention US law here - I can't see it applying to i-mate unless i-mate is US registered?
