24/5/2012 07:45 | What worries me re IMS is no real indication on financial performance - I usually find that when this is omitted the outturn is poorer than most expect. HYD had been on "watch" for many years and I had hoped this fall could be a buying opportunity but having digested the IMShave decided to leave on the back burner for now. | pugugly
24/5/2012 06:30 | Disappointing AGM statement which now shows the reason behind the share price weakness. | 18bt

15/3/2012 14:37 | LOL!! Takes 2 to make a market! | stevie blunder
15/3/2012 14:34 | you may have bought mine | alter ego
15/3/2012 10:52 | Picked some up at 141.6, will be showing as a sell. There must be some stock about. I've tracked these for a while, I like the cash on the balance sheet and the growth prospects and the progressive divi. The chart looks OK too, could break out from here. | stevie blunder
06/3/2012 07:19 | Decent results out this morning, slightly beating consensus forecasts. Good UK wastewater performance and prospects sound pretty good in the UK. International disappointing but a low base and the prospects sound good. 2012 forecasts should be raised slightly on these results, I'd guess to around £3m PBT, 13.5 adjusted EPS. | 18bt
13/2/2012 15:10 | oops double post. | kooba
13/2/2012 14:56 | Kooba, much of what you say, is why I will only ever invest with short term goals, and to be honest I try not to have too many open positions so that I can exit the market quickly. I currently have 11 open positions which is way too many for me, and half of them will be gone over the next week. I agree that financials will still take a hit this year, as I feel the economy is still weak, I'm not short yet, but a little rally from here and I will be. I still think the dow will break 13000, then that will be year high. Iran are certainly pushing their luck, as it seems they were responsible for more attacks this morning, and I am based in Bangkok and an attack was foiled here recently on the israeli embassy, which they also blamed on Iran. I will check out your positions, another I'm looking at is NWR, I think that could get rerated further, also has a nice dividend if holding for the longer term. | hippo
13/2/2012 13:00 | whatto Hippo...what you up to then? | kooba
10/2/2012 10:59 | Luminoso, may be I've spent too many years thinking about, and holding, this share. I think you encapsulate very clearly one of the questions that I'm struggling to take a view on. | cheap
09/2/2012 23:04 | Cheap shot? | alter ego
09/2/2012 20:09 | Well I, for one, appreciate you sharing those comments 18BT ! Its what these boards are for, isn't it ? I wish you luck. I am still hesitant about re-entering as Public Service expenditure seems to me to be the key to HYD making it big - esp in the US. Public budgets look likely to curtailed for some time yet. Events may change that and force that expenditure on public bodies, of course. I like the company and I like the products and will keep watching. Apologies to cheap, if my insights are not extraordinary enough for you. | luminoso
30/1/2012 11:48 | Well I think we're all grateful for those extraordinary insights. | cheap
30/1/2012 09:50 | Have bought in this morning as a conservative rating, cash on the balance sheet and reasonable growth prospects. Whilst contracts are lumpy, water management is a theme which is going to be increasing prevalent. | 18bt
13/1/2012 13:19 | The £24M is the total investment by Thames, the largest at Becton was RNS'd on 2/11/2010 with a £15.6m contract value another contract for the Crossness(with a different contractor )was RNS'd on the 16/02/2011 for £3.5m.There is another contractor involved at the Mogden site which has not been RNS'd but is still for Thames water. Maybe not as exciting as first appeared but it does bode well that other water authorities will put some business their way. | picnic
12/1/2012 22:55 | This does seem confusing. A similar post exists from Feb 2010 at w.processindustryinf | david lawrie
12/1/2012 13:00 | Latest news on the website"Thames water invests £24 m in Hydro Sludge handling technology" I think the £24 M might include contracts already announced to the market, but it looks very promising.Hydro also seem hopeful of other authorities following Thames lead. | picnic
26/9/2011 12:48 | Why was this contract not rns'd or did I miss it ? | luminoso
21/9/2011 20:27 | Good spot picnic. That helps me understand the share movement earlier in September. After having a look around I found the announcement at this was published on September 6th. Also explains why no further movement today. | david lawrie |
