lw425: So what now for share price? When your ace card causes the share price to turn red this means the market has spoken. In my view the share price is overvalued by some measure. Does it make a profit? What are the revenues. Does it pay a dividend? How will it fund the next three years into production. How much will you be diluted from this point going forward or how much of the asset will need to be given away in farmout?
the guardian: I wouldn't mind seeing a placement. When companies are floundering, placements are bad news and almost always result in a fall in share price to below the placement price. Fortunately, when a placement is made so that the company can move forward faster or on its own, as in this case, then a successful placement can bring about a boost to the share price. cashandcard, this company looks like the exact opposite of EME. - Thank goodness!
cashandcard: Frankly I do not like the idea of hurricane taking on the development itself, even if they could raise the funds at a stretch. They are a cutting edge exploration company, that's what they do best and how they deliver shareprice value for small PI's. Development has all sorts of risks, and no one company has all the answers. I think it will weigh the share price down for a long time.I would like to see an arrangement where a larger concern takes over 40-50% of EPS as a first phase of Lancaster development for all associated costs, risks and a large cash premium. Hurricane should reinvest the monies into exploration.Cash
davidblack: Just a little thought The FinnCap broker has a new estimate of 66p based on a 33% probability of commercialisation therefore the unrisked estimate is 200p. The current share price is 41p or 62% of that 66p target. Assuming the oil estimated volume doubles that 200p value is likely to become 400p unrisked. Assuming the probability moves to 50% assuming the horizontal well further derisks the project giving a risked value of 200p? Apply that 62% of target to be the likely share price and we have a possible share price of 124p in the new year? 124p sounds very friendly. All of course based on what can happen with those spreadsheet metrics.
agnabeya: Adam, having large proven reserves is excellent. But that won't necessarily translate into a share price. You read any bb it's full of people saying their share share price should be X pence because of the value of assets. While the maths may be correct, it's not how AIM works. The only price you will get is what the market gives you. That may be over valued or undervalued....but it's the only price you will get, regardless of the maths. If it were value related, Rkh would be much higher. I think with a good result on the next drill there will be great share price potential - but I will also top slice profit if that happens
fsawatcher: vereker von hecht, companies like crystal amber and kerogan jus get more cheap shares if it not go well or they sell outs HUR share price should ave been about 19p when they had 650mil shares in issue but they have large holders sellin shares aggressively which drive price to 9p so dont be naive , big investors make big bets too and they lose lots of 'em when the decide to sell out , they hurt share price for months as you ave already found out
rainbow23: As I recently predicted yesterdays budget announcement on oil taxes has turned out to be a damp squib for the HUR share price. I expect the CPR to have a similar effect. Looks like it's going to be a long slow climb back to 40p.
steveho: Brezhnev,HUR Share Price: 27.50 soon be 20p A shorters dream from 48p,the world has woken up to HUR its back to short trousers...See you at 20
topinfo: Its all hotting up in HURRICANES field area, bring on the Bidders. My mone is on BP or Total !!! $3 billion that would be nice !! Will they just buy all of HUR or take a stake or Farm in? Either way HUR share price is about to go through the roof these coming weeks IMO. Where else do you have a company with a UK based well capable of producing 20,000+ bopd just from 1 single well with a mkt at just £250 million. Simple answer is You dont!!
cinques: It sounds like quite a few PIs have sold down recently and who can blame them? In addition, one or two IIs have being selling down too for unknown reasons. That then begs the question of who has being buying....??? I don't think many PIs are buying as they are too nervous on the whole. I believe it's some canny IIs that have been scooping these up and probably playing the book to get better buying prices. Patience / Impatience, etc... Read the Poll analysis - it's most likely going to be a No. HUR share price has the expectation (ie, ~20% chance) of a Yes more than priced in now, imho.
