15/2/2017 07:35 | Dr Robert Trice, Chief Executive of Hurricane, said:"This has already been a hugely successful drilling campaign for Hurricane and the Halifax Well marks an exciting opportunity with which to close it. The prospect is also a logical conclusion to the drilling programme as, following the success of the Lancaster Pilot Well, we believe that the oil column extends beyond the Lancaster block boundary and potentially up to the Halifax Prospect. We look forward to updating the market with initial well results towards the end of Q1 2017 | gary38

14/2/2017 23:37 | The nature of the rumour circulating on lse in regards to Doc Holidays blog comments (well issues) may require an RNS to clarify the current status of Halifax. It's certainly ignited discussion on lse.Cash | cashandcard

14/2/2017 22:37 | All I read was "Oh Dear". If valid we still have over a billion find (L+L+W) and I await developments from Halifax. It would be disappointing if there has been a snag but the story is still outstanding. No guarantees out there but a lot of oil in the bank already. | pcok

14/2/2017 17:04 | Indeed the first and last on the list....`Equity` and `farmout`....Or both. However, as we`ve seen with many oilers over the last few years, its normally equity- because the large oilers won`t or don`t want to take on the risk. I`d like to see `Farmout` higher on the list. IMO. | nicebut
14/2/2017 16:42 | Yawn..... re "raising $400 mill", .....A preliminary estimate is that the capital expenditure required to achieve first oil from the EPS, excluding the two horizontal wells which have already been drilled and tested, is expected to be up to USD400 million. This estimate comprises vessel hull and topside conversion, vessel repair and life extension, turret, buoy and mooring, Subsea Equipment, well completions and vessel deployment and associated service and engineering costs (including the Subsea Equipment, buoy, mooring and control system long lead items funded by the Fundraising). Hurricane is considering a range of financing options for the EPS phase of the Lancaster development and currently intends to finance the EPS via a combination of some or all of the following options: equity, production pre-payment facility, deferred vendor finance, deferred yard and fabricator finance, hybrid ownership of the FPSO, export credit agency guarantees and farmout. | thegreatgeraldo |
