The 25p will be in top of what Sainsburys is paying. £1.60 plus + 25p from the sale of Homebase £1.90 per share in total return

I guess the definitive RNS will be issued 7am tomorrow.
Pity about the 25p special divi although this may get mentioned in the RNS.

Ditto, I've just got 10,000 left now and will look to exit at 1.60, I would rather bank the profits today then risk it all for a potential no deal.

I'm keeping hold of the ones I've got but not topping up. There is always a risk until the deal is formally announced.

There is still a risk the bid may not be formally made or accepted.

Sainsbury's takeover of Home Retail Group set to be announced

Investors are confident that a deal has been reached between the two parties at a price of slightly more than 160p a share

Read the Preliminary Results announced 10th December less than two months ago, the forecast for 2016 was upbeat which does not say much for management foresight.
Also begs the question are they paying too much for acquisitions with a large bank facility and too gung ho in present market conditions.

Sorry chaps this is for another board cant erase it.

That's very naughty and deliberate. It always pays to check the source.

Leaders office- Where is that news on the ft.com site?
I think you have mischievously changed the word 'PRESSED' to 'Poised' haven't you?
Those two words have very different meanings as you well know!

160p is too high . 150p is more than generous considering the troubles ahead for Argos if it does not attract someone who can save it.

I hadn't thought of that Kazoom, so to sweeten the Sainsbury's deal, keep the 200m from the Homebase sale. However there would need to be a sweetener for the shareholders in there somewhere.

If it was even a possibility that we might be looking at 160 + 24 then the share price would be sitting around 160, taking into account the downside risk.
