10/1/2012 15:27 | Interesting from Edison. If th whole year is up anything like H1's 25% then these will come in well ahead. Trading update in a month's time. CR | cockneyrebel
08/12/2011 08:07 | Tipped somewhere? | jeff h
01/12/2011 11:14 | Edison ups current year forecast | jeff h
30/11/2011 09:18 | Yes good results CR/owenski. 20% div hike says the management are confident on future performance. | jeff h
30/11/2011 07:38 | Very good results imo and the divi set to rise to at least as high as the highest broker forecast. Long been a bid target imo Jeff H but I think Wierd Beaver will only make a move if someone else does imo - but perhaps someone else will soon if they keep performing like this and don't seriously re-rate. Shame I never pensioned a load more of these, only bought a moderate amount. Why they are 25% below their recent high with this performance puzzles me. CR | cockneyrebel
28/11/2011 18:53 | Interesting day. The article in thedeal.com that I referred to up the thread mentioned both industry leaders Carlson Wagonlit and BCD recently making acquisitions. Today then Beverweerd which is an investment vehicle associated with BCD took its stake to over 22%, whether it intends to bid or not is subject to debate. Whether the increased stake has anything to do with Hogg Robinson recently partnering its 23% shareholder Dnata to enter the Indian market I wouldn't know...but here's an article on it:- | jeff h
28/11/2011 16:42 | Another 99,100 for Beverweerd Investments, with interims on Wednesday. | dcameronw5
28/11/2011 15:41 | A lot of buying today - possibly reactionb to the news in your post Jeff H CR | cockneyrebel
20/11/2011 13:04 | Further to the above:- "In addition to retaining the total travel capability of the three departments we currently service, we have won new business from a further four Central Departments." Interims Wed 30th November | jeff h
18/11/2011 14:02 | Contract award by HM Govt. Says new contract and presumably from the article it up to £1.5 billion of travel costs?? "It will work alongside Hampshire-based Hogg Robinson, which has won the international contract, covering the Ministry of Defence and the Foreign Office." | jeff h
17/11/2011 14:19 | This board as quiet as ever for a quality company. Results in less than 2 weeks....I added 25k before. Read a very interesting article on deals in the sector and the industry itself in the deal.com/magazine dated 11 November. Can't seem to post for some reason but mentions mergers and takeovers in the sector and the fact that business travel revenue rarely falls but tends to grow at 4-6% annually. Well worth a read | jeff h
27/10/2011 17:26 | Rise picking up pace today and still around 20% off July's high. | bigbigdave
18/10/2011 12:46 | glad I got people talking again after 2 months of silence. Topped up at 50 p | puku
17/10/2011 17:46 | I stayed sat on all mine. Bounce after that perfect H & S? MACD turning up from the bottom too, RSI only 45... Up well on light volume. Still not selling! | napoleon 14th
17/10/2011 17:12 | Do you expect to see it achieve it's previous high in this current market? If we get a big santa rally and strong Q4 then maybe but I had my eye on the previous support/resistance line at 60p. That is my first target and offers 25% from my entry point. There was some strong buying today with someone keen and reloading a 15k on the bid, I thought that run of 5k's @50p around lunchtime was going to stall things a bit but it remained strong into the afternoon as well. Like you say, when it does rally it tends to do so sharply. | greenroom78
17/10/2011 12:26 | Another 40% and it will be up to the previous high - plenty to go for imo Bounced on a strong previous support area too.. CR | cockneyrebel
17/10/2011 08:44 | I've had a few this morning as well, good support on the chart at these levels. HRG has been on my watchlist since shares mag covered them a few months back - debt is a minor concern but it is reducing, revenue is growing and they appear to have a healthy cash balance as well. | greenroom78
17/10/2011 08:19 | I'm back in, chart looks like ti's making a bottome here imo - sharp rallies when they happen here too. CR | cockneyrebel
15/10/2011 16:07 | Just the wider market sentiment, here would seem a good point to buy back in. | bigbigdave
15/10/2011 14:44 | baffled by steady decline after Int Statement. Director bought 50,000 at 68p in July. Going to top up. | puku
15/8/2011 11:47 | Wadda bounce! Makes the market look so wimpish... ____________ Edit on 230911: Wadda difference a month makes! We're now on a completed head & shoulders... What next? | napoleon 14th
25/7/2011 12:19 | Just out Investec - Buy - 100p Collins Stewart - Buy - 85p | matt123d
25/7/2011 12:06 | Looks rather good imo - IMS Statement out: Hogg Robinson Group plc (`HRG', `the Company' or `the Group') INTERIM MANAGEMENT STATEMENT Ahead of today's Annual General Meeting, Hogg Robinson Group plc, the international corporate travel services company, announces its first Interim Management Statement for the year ending 31 March 2012, covering the period from 1 April 2011 to date. Group performance Trading for the Group during the first quarter of the financial year continued to be in line with management's expectations. For the three months to the end of June, revenue increased by 9% (up 6% at constant currency), with client travel transaction activity up by 8% and client spend up by 14% (up 10% at constant currency). Outlook The Board believes HRG will continue to show strong progress and deliver a full-year performance in line with expectations. David Radcliffe, Chief Executive of Hogg Robinson Group plc, commented: "We have made a good start to the financial year, demonstrating the value of HRG's comprehensive and bespoke travel management solutions for our corporate clients. Our differentiated, technology-led offering continues to deliver a first class service, ensuring very high client retention levels. We continue to add to the customer base and the pipeline of opportunities is strong. "Whilst we remain mindful of economic conditions, we are encouraged by the good growth during the first quarter which is in line with our expectations and look forward to the rest of the year with confidence." | cockneyrebel
25/7/2011 08:22 | Last years AGM (IMS) statement was at 14:25 (rather than announcing it at 07:00), and it looks like they intend to do similar again today for this years AGM. I note that Singer Capital downgraded these on Friday from Buy to Fair Value, which makes me wonder if they've got word of something, as a bit odd IMO to downgrade the day before an IMS is due, as broker notes usually follow shortly after such things (as rarely are they ahead of the game). Although it could just be that the price has hit their previous target of 65p, and are too lazy to do some digging to look for additional value. Although given the general crazy market and that broker downgrade, I will likely have just a pinch of anxiety today while waiting for that IMS. (All IMO) | calahan |
