Tesco and Walmart on their way good news IMHO their company pensions, pay and conditions I would imagine are "slighlty" better than those the average Indian shop owner offers his staff. Social, economic and legal change isnt easy but will leave more people better off in India and disrupt the slump in asset prices and currency IMHO Probably improve the legal structure too.

Good to see some central governement figures finally getting involved in trying to progress Navi Mumbai airport.

"New Delhi, July 30 - Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh Monday said the government would fast-track all clearances required for building the Navi Mumbai International Airport.

Singh gave the assurance during a meeting with Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan here."

Is it true it is being run by crooked Desis, is there any other type?

lol !!!!!

India has very little debt and is capable of becoming an extremely wealthy region again one day.

Indias ratio if debt to tax take is over 500%.

Desis dont like paying taxes. Only thing it seems they know is hand in the till.

Hi Nilip, yes. Agreed all looks awful. I dont try and predict anything. I just follow active investors in and out.

Thoughts: If the press are wrong? Blood is thicker than water. Families can get back together. India has very little debt and is capable of becoming an extremely wealthy region again one day.

Praipus,

Do you currently have a holding in HRCO ?

Would you mind if I asked what your current views on HRCO pls :

ie.

Current trading ?
Family feud/court shananigans ?
Possible repercussions to HRCO as a result of family feud/resolve ?
Future growth ?
Current state of the Indian property mkt ?

Genuine questions, hope you don't mind.

Lots of negative press and speculation ... all very confusing - curious of your overall take of the situation.

Thanks.

OPG results could have been better if it wasn't for the deconsolidation of it's 2 minority 26& 10 MW plants.

Indian electricity demand projected to grow @ 10%/year for the next few years at least.

Gita Investments - good que. Savvy investment co. hopefully :-) quite a few subsidiaries ...

I've tucked a few OPG into my SIPP - need a solid growth co. in there.
