19/7/2006 13:12 | Hope not bought some at 3.75p yesterday - though ADVFN has it down as ? . I think the hot summer, being stocked by Tesco will help fundamentals. Can any one advise who makes Tescos premium ice cream - is it HLL? | giardap

01/7/2006 14:20 | I don't hold but have been following for about a year. Daily Mail did a large feature on premium brand ice cream today and HS came out of it very favourably.(no pun intended) Tom | tom.muir
24/5/2006 15:10 | It's a shame more places don't stock the interesting flavours - their cinnamon and cardamon ones are particularly wonderful, but hard to find even in the middle of London. I'd love to invest in this lot, as a great fan of their products, but need a bit more evidence that they can get their ice cream on to enough shelves....and this bloody weather can't be helping them much. | verulamium
24/5/2006 15:03 | I saw Hill Station ice-cream in Waitrose the other day. They only had two flavours - lime and mango and vanilla bean. They were doing 2 for £5, but the shelf was full so it looks like there were no takers. | washington dc

08/5/2006 12:47 | It depends what you mean by 'long term'. Hill Station is the third largest Ice Cream manufacturer in the UK. It has a mix of own brands and third party manufacturing contracts. Richmond Foods (epic RFD), is the largest UK Ice Cream Manufacturer and also has a mix of own brands and third party manufacturing contracts. Richmond floated in 1996 for £1.80 per share, and began making strategic acquisitions. Within six months the share price had halved to just under 90p. By the end of 1998 further acquisitions had been made and the share price had dropped to 60p over doubts about integration/strategy Hill Station floated 18 months ago at 10p a share, and has been making strategic acquisitions. The share price is now less than half of the float price due to doubts over integration/strategy Is history repeating itself? DYOR, but presumably we will know in a few years time. | muntle

18/4/2006 12:40 | All you have is two companies that were doomed combined into one bigger company that is doomed. | a warm breeze
