Ouro,
A nice encouraging post.
However: "My feeling is that Mr Judge has got his sleeves rolled up and will not let people down who have shown loyalty and committment."....is just that - you're feeling.
What we need and should have had by now, is some sort of statement from the management as to what their intentions were/are.
I am not for a moment saying that I disagree with you, in fact I'd love to think that you were right on message, but the truth is that we LTHs have been kept almost completely in the dark, for no reason other than what appears to be at best indifference; and at worst disrespect.

Ken Judge fighting for HIF long term shareholders, large and small?

My early research into HIF, six years ago, led me to the conclusion that over time the directors could be trusted to deliver increased value for committed investors. Look to those running the business before giving them any hard earned money. I did, satisfied that the Prouchnau-Judge, exploring-dealing combination had a lot going for it.

If there is still the ambition to make something of HIF then Mr Judge will succeed in staving off any bid and will be looking to raise money to take the company on further towards mining. The share price could quickly track upwards with a combination of good drilling results, market awareness of the assets it holds and an increasing gold price.

I am hoping that what we are seeing here is some clever work to reposition the company as a viable business and safe from predators. If the properties at East Santa Cruz do have great potential value, then in my book the directors will be doing everything possible to realize this for existing shareholders, themselves included. My feeling is that Mr Judge has got his sleeves rolled up and will not let people down who have shown loyalty and committment.

I dont think APF have any interest in buying out HIF, in fact I dont think they support them as much as they used to when JP was on board; it will be someone who is already down in SA

Well yes, of course they sold a few, but that might just be housekeeping. They are in the background on this.

Not a chance but I don't think APF are happy bunnies hence the 'spoiling' tactics and indicative share price imo.

I would argue that this would not be APF's style at all to buy out HIF.

However the cost of doing the deal with shares would be nowt much.
They are well in with the board & could manage the job a lot better,
Also they want to bail out a dud investment & love assets.

Exploring is not their game at all, but they have just done some holes in the Canadian coal, very few, but enough for a j/v.

Deals are well within their future plans as they were prepared to try to take on the failing Royalco in Aus. Now Royalco was & is mining in Indonesia, as well as having royalties etc,so they were not fazed at that prospect, & ended up with 30% & a director on the board.

Ergo an APF share deal to get this out of a hole is a distinct possibility.
The share holdings already fit with their holdings for a start.

i always wonder what ur rota looks like - do u do 2 hrs on each board? or do u take a break after 2 hrs of misleading investors?

I would see that statement as meaning they no longer have a sufficient % in either Alto or Columbus.

Any clues??

Yes the deal is done.

APF bought in to get some very cheap coal reserves

THE DEAL IS DONE

Seems an unexplained strange situation?

as the Company no longer exercises
significant influence over the investment company

Any clues?

Well it's a possible j/V & a firesale according to the RNS.
That was the master paln until somebody showed a little more interest in the lot.
The continuing work seems to not yield any more drill results, must be the odd hole sometime from the work done?

John has 5million shares + options. Dont think anything has changed here - I think management are just stretching it out until metal prices are higher and demand is increased. imv. If you are off the view that Gold is going to $5000oz+ then its just a matter of being patient.

That's what I'm afraid of Burbelly - that all he wants is a return - as opposed to a fair price/profit!!

What we really need round about now on this bb, is a Chipperfrd, or his ilk, who can start to put a value on HIF.

There will surely be a total disconnect between the share price & the share exchange valuation.
Do we have any recent analysts work to draw on ?
We do know that there has been much activity in the S.Cruz region, & values for gold in the ground will have risen with the increased mining, also HIF have a huge plot, so valuations, please?
