eeza - problem is that I owe my substantial out-performance in 2009 to the sort of off-piste speculative plays that lost me plenty this year. It looks as though I will end up +13%ish versus what should/could have been slightly in excess of 20%.

If you look at the Header to 2009 on the JDT thread, then follow with the Header to the 2010 thread you will see what I mean.

Would be interested how your PF would have performed EX your off-piste investments such as FOGL - had you just stuck to your well researched shares in CP/ PE etc. - over the past couple of years.

Obviously 1 or 2 will be lucky - but overall would you say that your PF would have been better off without the chancers? - & instead relying on the researched shares.

Just got filled on JPEL at TDW 12604 @ 63c.

Looking to buy AGOL when funds available.

Massive thanks to Skyship for all his research, and also to all others who contribute to this thread ( fabulous for info & lack of any animosity). Been hands-on most of my life (Building & Roofing) so not as savvy as most on here - but followed Sky's tips and although can't buy into all ( have to choose because of lack funds) have done quite well following his research - & comments from this thread. Please keep it up.

Safest thing I can see at present is HPEQ - recycled approx half back into it.

Have tried to put balance into JPEL - 1st purchase - waiting on Fill/kill from TDW.

Can't do the maths but similar TD fill I think. Barclays also finally gone through, look to have got 100% there.

Hargreaves Lansdown have just paid me for 991 of my 1005 shares, which appears to 98.6%. If I bought baxk now would the Nav suggest 40p per share profit next year?
