Another vote of confidence in Henderson.

The other day Perpetual Investments Australia increased their stake in Henderson to a very significant 8.5%

Today, well regarded JCP investment Partners of Australia declare that they have taken more than a 5% stake in Henderson.

A link to JCP :-

Clearly, a number of institutions have faith in Henderson if they are buying/increasing their holdings in this manner.

That is a good sign.

ALL IMO. DYOR.

Fundamentally strong, with a good forward outlook. I remain a holder, and believe we have seen a big overreaction to what was, for me, a positive update. General market weakness hasn't helped, and weve seen similar falls on ADN and JUP, which I also hold. These should all do well if market recovery continues. All IMO.

Perpetual Investments Limited of Australia have just increased their holding in Henderson from 7.5% to 8.5%.

That's a massive holding.

Clearly Perpetual Investments have strong faith in Henderson.

The interims look very strong to me.

The confidence in the underlying business has lead management to announce a massive increase in interim dividend by a stonking 21% from 2.15p to 2.6p.

The CEO's statement is very positive and says that : "The outlook for our business remains strong."

Henderson have had NET inflows of £4.7bn from retail and NET inflows of £0.3bn from institutional . More than £5bn in total new AUM.

The Interims carry on to say:- "We are currently experiencing strong growth momentum, with the key leading indicators of investment performance and flows both positive. Strategic investments are proceeding according to plan. "

For some reason, Numis put out a reduce reco today which may be affecting the share price with a target of 215p.

I think Numis are wrong.

The market is generally weak at the moment, combined with a Summer lull and many/most shares are suffering profit-taking in the current market correction, after a terrific run.

The current market conditions bring to mind Warren Buffet's famous words "Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful."

Buffet is currently sitting on a $50bn cash pile. Global economies are generally strengthening, irrespective of Ukraine geo-political tensions.

Watch for the moment when Buffet starts splashing out his cash pile and when the great-and-the-good of the investment world are back from the beach in September.

With cash rates at microscopic levels, money likely soon to start pouring back into equities.

ALL IMO. DYOR.

Didn't expect this. AUM rising steadily. I'll keep holding, as I think steady growth is the outlook here. Increase in interim divi is nice but will have too see how the second half goes leading up to final divi, if they raise that too then this could look very cheap going forwards. Disappointed with the market reaction though, all the same.

sometimes being overweight on a stock can put your portfolio back in order :-) im sure it'll be OK, just have to get thru the current quagmire.. i think the co. needs to get news out!! they did say they have news imminent, and not just singular but plural, so far weve only had the IBM rns, just one rns....i think just right now, they need to get good news out and a main listing bit of news, that shud sort the current issues re shorters..

cheers

Good bit of research going on then for you, I use digital look for stuff like that, there's some useful tool out there. But, I've made my bed so to speak and now just have the 'waiting' part to get through, mainly with MONI I might add as that now comprises 75% of my total holdings lol talk about concentrating risk.

GL too ! :-)

seems we have a bit more to go yet, but im seeing it too, as healthy, because id envisage a good run back to top on the oversold stocks.

just using google finance stock screaner on UK stocks all sectors, and filtering by min £500m mcap to ~£2.5b, and PE filter from 5 to 14, then excluding the high yield stocks (to eradicate the 'income' play stocks) and theres a good bunch of stocks there on low PE's...

just trying to find fundamentally cheaap stocks in lieu of the correction turning..

cheers

Thats the only thing that puts me off CNKS, not the co itself, but the stock liquidity and spread. Its the first SEAQ stock ive touched for absolutely ages. The other side of that coin though is that theres no HFT merchants keeping a lid on the price by manipulating the book, so it has the potential to go ballistic.

fingers crossed mate. i just wish cenkos was more heavily traded and a thinner spread... its so undervalued, but when i sell im going to have to do it over a period of days, which annoys me, cos of the lack of liquidity. ill have to sell on a 'going up' day in due course, but i think its probably the most undervalued stock on AIM fundamentally, with a ~15p FY divi i reckon... looking fwd to that, though i do have to pay tax on divi income... cheers

rol on moni to 60p'! il be happy then, at least :-)
