This forum was down a few days back now back up.

Yep im up 5.7% as at today to be precise fatty its been a crazy ride. Sold back 20% of my lloy and rbs stock combined with fresh resources should be able to back another RI on both. I hopefully should make some money out the total dogs although not as much as one would have made out of the last 20 or so banking crashes. All depends on how further things get diluted.

Also bought some 888, stob, tsco, mks, axp etc etc usual types unfortunately 888 results not as good as expected but i still like it brand/marketing wise.

some big debts there fatty, expensive borrowing costs too.

What's your thinking? improving revenues & lower costs producing a spike in profits? cashflow used to reduce debt quickly?

Have a school friend thats joined the Scotsman newspaper, told me she has an option open to buying Johnston Press (JPR) in her package deal at a discount.

Took time out at the airport to have a look at JPR. On paper promising, so did a few calls for her... don't normal look at such stock, but it dont look half bad.

Interim results - look good vs current share price looks under valued
Charting could be a possible breakout.

Dont hold currently.... more of a favour call more than anything else....but put it this way, long term /mid 90-120

price now is 38'ish (28/8/09 - afternoon)

lloy = still pos. i still hold a small holding around 17%.

rbs = can't see it with an election in the offing. Have to tread on tip's ... Best to keep the share price going up.

ps... rbs just had full take up of this $2 bln 5-yr notes which is a good pointer.

pps... its Tue today , that's a very long w/e lol

Im back after a long w/e, Can you see lloy and RBS needing any more r/i fatboy?

If RBS hits 72p id be up a considerable amount of money despite my foolish start.

will reduce lloy holding by another 10% this morning. moving into rbs.

end of the day lloy = 15%

ok... My RBS S/T is 72p.

i will assess @ the 62/64p mark to again.... but as of NOW with the data i have seen im happy to say 72p

looks very close to break out at the mo (12:25) in the past we've seen it bounce off the 70's and go to 65-66 over the course of a couple of days
