If you are worried about it why dont you just move your 50k now. Of all the things to worry about. Millions of people worried about losing their jobs and their homes and some one is having sleepless nights cos two banks are merging, it is more likely in the merger there is a computer glitch and they lose it that way. I bet thats go you worried now!

Can anyone tell me when lloyds and hbos officially become one Bank? The reason I need to know is that when it is if you have accounts in both Banks you were covered in the compensation schemme for £50k in each, once the Banks are one you will only be covered for £50k in total. Thanks in anticipation.
