37DOLPHIN - i can't answer your question

i did sell because i was a holder for a long time and i made a lot of money but i like your analysis

i do feel though that the manuals are a lot worse than the manuals that haynes produced years ago

2003 Y/E Analyst forecast before todays positive trading statement:-

Sales - £40m
Profit - £7m
eps - 28p

Current market cap of £39m at a share price of £2.55 would give a forward P/E ratio of 8.9x based on eps of 28p.

Current market sector P/E ratio of 17x?

Seems a lot more upside in the share price to come?

Any views?

It is indeed lovely to see this company regularly posting profit upgrades and the outlook for profits looks great when set against the £15 market cap. quoted by ADVFN. But the Chairman owns 9m "A" shares convertible to ordinary shares "under certain circumstances". Does anyone know what these circumstances are and does this effectively mean that the market cap. should be regarded as more than twice that quoted at present? This would put things on a much less exciting footing and could explain why tipsters and institutions do not seem to be joining in the profits party.

Perhaps a company representative might like to answer this question for the enlightenment of all shareholders, as I know that this issue has been alluded to before on this bulletin board.

How nice and rare for shareholders in a Plc to be told that profits are likely to exceed expectations, in the current economic climate ?! From past history the interim results will probably be announced this week.
As most car owners are probably aware, Haynes mainly publish car repair manuals and trading has been particularly strong in the USA. They are No1 in the World now, in this field, I believe. The company tends to link dividend payments to profit (sensible eh?) and so fingers crossed for a dividend increase?
There are not many shares in issue and so they have the potential to motor on upwards. Sods law though they will probably fall ?!!!

.The price will hopefully rise, as there is good news from the results, the business is expanding, and is attending to the loss making parts.
