Diku peel hunt keeps their buy stance and target of 75p. Marketing and communications services group Hasgrove successfully replaced lost public sector revenues in 2010 and is confident of further sales growth in 2011 on the strength of a bulging pipeline.

Turnover in 2010 rose 9.3% to £35.4m from £32.4m the year before. Headline pre-tax profit climbed 40% to £2.1m from £1.5m in 2009.

The dividend has been maintained at 0.5p.

Net debt at the end of 2010 had risen to 6.7m from £6.5m at the end of 2009.

"The progress made in 2010 is continuing into 2011 with encouraging contract wins and a strong new business pipeline. There is a significant opportunity for growth in digital, where we are already well positioned," said Rod Hyde, group chief executive.

Broker Peel Hunt said revenue exceeded its forecast by 5% but profit before tax came in 7% below the broker's number, "reflecting the impact of the timing of client wins and the speed of public sector cuts" in the second half.

Peel Hunt is sticking with its 2011 and 2012 forecasts. "Our recommendation remains Buy with a target price of 75p. At this level the shares will trade on a PER [price earnings ratio] for 2012 of 5.5x," the broker said

I also thought results are a lot better than expected under the circumtances...particulary the divi is maintained & if I remember correctly they did mention a progressive divi after 2011...

Results like this & the price is marked down with hardly any volume going through suggest the board has a completely different kind of problem...

Diku the results imv are much better than i expected with turnover and profit up. A yuear of progress and further to come should see these at 80p mid term so i'll be adding more.

About time the market appreciates HGV...could do with more of these contract news in the public domain via RNS to give a boost to share price...

Trading statement was very positive and the shares should pick up over the coming months as the rating is very low. Still a confident holder.

The delayed contracts cut 0.3m from expected results but stll came in at £3.5 m for a P/e of 5 and probably 4 next year.. Pipeline said to be strong so very cheap on fundamentals. One downside - they still have to pay off earn-outs on past acquisitions, hence low div. but when complete should boost div from free cash flow. I am in at 60 p before the drop and will top up when I have some readies.

hi-- I guess that was what was really disappointing... that the delayed contracts should have boosted this years results, but the broker reduced them too! So I think there is negative sentiment, although it still looks cheap.

I though most of the delayed contracts have been signed off but could not be reflected at the cut off point for 2010...but will be reflected in the 2011 results..me thinks there is an overhang here that needs to be cleared..

diku- their recent trading statement said that Q4 was not as expected, with delays to expected orders... (so last years results will be below expectations). Consequently brokers have reduced eps for last year to 10.36 from 11.79. Also this years earnings have also been reduced to 11.9 from 13.36
