01/2/2010 12:50 | baner - good question - why is the Hartest board so keen to help Delta in this? - is there a vested interest? Some years ago it would make sense however considering the amount of restructuring that has gone on and the reduced cost base, why now? | phantom10
01/2/2010 12:38 | I am sure that PG is not keen to sell out! Perhaps that is the problem. | whiters
01/2/2010 11:54 | # Snowman really good point snowman - who keeps the profits that must have accrued during the VERY long offer period; Hartest shareholders carry the risks and the financing costs - should this be to the benefit of Delta only - who have not even managed to arrange for their financing during this very long period? why is the Hartest board so keen to help Delta in this? is it Gillenhammer being so keen to sell out - i would be surprised as he is known to be financially very strong ? | baner
01/2/2010 11:12 | yea but i have stopped selling now having refused to take under 66.5p Today its 65p. DD should be done after a bid is made and if it turns up anything then you walk. The only thing is that the turnaround to payment may be quicker at 35days. MEANWHILE OUR COMPANY IS MAKING MONEY FOR WHO? SNOW | snowman10
01/2/2010 09:41 | ansc agree, deadline appears to mean nothing! This is all very suspicious - a bidder should make a bid not an intention and why all the due dilligence before ? - would have thought that the majority of this should have been after, obviously the bank won't give them the money unless they have a cast iron case for it Wonder how much information has been provided to Delta as well? Fellow shareholder's beware - theres more to this than meets the eye, a longer term gain could be sacrificed for a short term profit | phantom10
01/2/2010 08:44 | Why do they bother to give any deadline at all? I find the banking reason proferred as the cause of this further delay as a pretty lame excuse; didn't Delta realise back in November (when the initial approach was made) that part of the funding was going to be via a loan provided by their bank? Pathetic! | ansc
31/1/2010 15:41 | Another months extension then....... | spec7
30/1/2010 22:21 | Did i miss something or have non of these conditions been met ? The possible offer is conditional, inter alia, upon completion by Delta Controls of confirmatory due diligence, Elektron entering into an irrevocable undertaking to accept the offer and the board of Hartest Holdings suspending the dividend proposed conditional upon any offer becoming or being declared unconditional at which point it will be cancelled ------------------ | spec7

27/1/2010 09:37 | Came back in at 56 expecting a higheer bid, after the tiger tipped me off. | snowman10
27/1/2010 08:29 | A further sign of confidence from RS yesterday, another 8,636 added yesterday at 66p and now owns 1.65%. I wonder what their prognosis is? edit: snowman10 - 8 Dec'09 - 17:46 - 2707 of 2767 Followed the tiger and now out. snow snowman10 - 26 Jan'10 - 14:00 - 2766 of 2767 i HAVE STARTED TAKING THE 67p on offer in the market. Never one to be greedy. Linked with HTH my money is going into EKT in a very big way as it looks silly cheap snow LOL | ansc

26/1/2010 09:39 | The price now is at it's highest for 12 months. My hunch (and it's only a hunch) that the deal is going through. | cyberpost
26/1/2010 09:35 | Very true, cyberpost, but I'm assuming the 'talks' will be ongoing 'til the eleventh hour come what may. Who knows, perhaps Delta may even be persuaded to up their ante. Is the price performance telling us something? | ansc
26/1/2010 09:25 | ansc, the converse could be true as well couldn't it ? If the deal was off then why haven't they announce it ? | cyberpost
26/1/2010 09:24 | Creeping closer to the 'done deal' price all the time. And surely the nearer it gets to Delta's deadline the less chance there is of their 'approach' being accepted, otherwise why no announcement? I'm almost at break-even! | ansc
25/1/2010 12:17 | Most probably just a private investor who has 1%. In takeover situations, any dealings done by 1% (or more) holders have to report their trades. | cyberpost
25/1/2010 08:15 | Who is Romina Siha I wonder. And why increase your holding this late in the day? - see the two Rule 8.3 RNSs issued this morning. | ansc
22/1/2010 13:11 | The highest price paid so far - 66p - for 13.6k this morning. And Delta's deadline creeps ever closer ..... It's somewhat surprising that there hasn't been an announcement by now seeing as the 'done deal' was trumpeted so long ago! | ansc
21/1/2010 12:11 | Wow a fair few posts very quick. My understanding is that EKT see it as a done deal. snow | snowman10
20/1/2010 17:02 | Whiters, do you expect that the offer price will go up if unsuccessful? If so, and as you have indicated that you are a holder, would this make you reconsider? | phantom10
20/1/2010 13:33 | I will confirm however that I'm still holding. February might be an interesting month. I hope so anyway. | whiters
20/1/2010 13:28 | You can at least express you personal view. | cyberpost |
