As to be expected, Amati VCT have reduced their holding by 12.5m shares ...... will they be dumping any more before their remaining loan has to be converted during August?

Amazingly, not a single trade marked in the first hour's trading. What do investors need, a written guarantee!

Those apparently three sells - all at 15.29 - total 18m, so they could actually represent a 9m rollover, hence no impact on sp!

Yep great video

Have to laugh at the presenter at the end asking the MD the final question:

"do you ever when you go to sleep at night and imagine a tin of hardide on the shelf for the general retailer to go I'll take a tin of hardide!"

I think she thought hardide is like a tin of paint!

VIDEO - Hardide "on the verge of some huge opportunities"
Philip Kirkham, chief executive of industrial coatings specialist Hardide (LON:HDD), tells Proactive Investors the company's technology is gaining traction in markets beyond oil & gas. In particular, the company is targeting the aerospace sector, where big names such as Airbus and AgustaWestland have already shown a keen interest. "The company is on the verge of some huge opportunities," Kirkham believes.

You are restricted to just 50k (or £900) if you try to buy online this morning. On the other hand, you can sell 500k (@ 1.715p).

Stock shortage? I have a few doubts.

Re #2184 - hmmm... they've been saying that since I looked into the co. in 2008. Glad I chose not to invest. Their problem seems to be that they do lots of expensive trials with clients, but then the orders don't materialise.

Cheers,

Mark

Two hefty trades marked (as buys) this afternoon but the share price didn't flinch. Confusing!

Hardide ready to take flight
Already a well-regarded operator in the oil & gas sector, Hardide plc sees plenty of opportunities to spread its wings, especially in the aerospace industry.

Under the current CGT rules, is there anything to gain these days in doing a roll-over?

Alternatively, possibly Amati transferring shares from their VCT2 fund to their UK Smaller Co's fund.

Another 9.0m shares just been off-loaded. Any bets as to where they came from? Price @ 2.01p appears remarkably generous.

Exactly - currently it's 'full of promise' but little else! We need to see the orders come through, but once that starts the share price will react accordingly, and PIs can add then.

yes I saw a small marcap when I did my first "sweep"...thanks.

I guess order books have to grow and the GE order is a help there..reference sale and so on. Will read more and then try to judge as and when an addition is due.

Alchemy - the co is currently small, but can grow quickly based upon the potential of its widely applicable technology - see above in the header.

Reading yesterday's RNS last night ('compos mentis' this time!), Amati's disposal of that 2.156m did take place on the 14th as reported on ADVFN and not the 10th. Mind you, it was marked as a buy when we now know it was in fact a sale. Those naughty Mingy Machs again!!
