Think I may have purchased a tad too soon, my buying is the kiss of death. The spread on these is always high in the morning but, seems to narrow significantly in the afternoon, anyone else noticed this ?

Just having a look at the withdrawal rates over the last few years, seems to be 15-20% of AUM per annum which suggests the customers aren't as sticky as you'd hope for a long term savings product.

In the new lower margin environment they're really going to have to work hard to replace the lost higher margin commissions of £170m-£200m per year. Investment gains would obviously help and the cash on the balance sheet means they have plenty of time.

6p of earnings means the PE ratio is over 20.

Results appear to be lower than market expectations.

There were still (even though New Business was a credible performance) a substantial net outflow of funds caused by large withdrawals of higher margin business during the year. This was obscured somewhat in AUM by the plunge in sterling due to the referendum. Over time this higher margin business will be replaced by by the lower margin new business meaning AUM will have to increase substantially for the same return.

Not much of na discount to embedded value and embedded value has not changed.
Profit was a miss
Net cash outflows to continue for future years
Litigation claims almost double

Nice tick up at the end,by the Auction 138.50/142.75.But last real buy at 135.It will be interesting on Monday,s opening to see where we are with HSD.But yes MRF,you were correct in predicting a break out,and the next leg up.Also still yielding 6.5 % at 135,and 6.2% at 1.4275.Could a T/O be in the offering ?
