Announcement Dividend level for year to 31 March 2018

Hansa Trust PLC announces, further to its dividend policy, the advance notification of the two interim dividends for its financial year ending 31 March 2018. Barring unforeseen circumstances, the Company expects to pay two interim dividends of 8.0p each. The first interim dividend will be paid in November 2017 and the second will be paid in May 2018.

Dividend Policy

The Board's dividend policy is to pay two similar interim dividends each year. The Board will declare the rate of the two dividends, barring unforeseen circumstances, at the beginning of the financial year in question. The first interim dividend will then be paid in November during the financial year with the second being paid in the May following the end of the financial year. Again barring unforeseen circumstances, the Company expects the dividends to grow over time reflecting the longer--term returns of the portfolio. If circumstances are such that the level of cash income generated by the portfolio is insufficient to meet the dividend commitment, the shortfall may be made up from the Company's reserves. Under certain one--off circumstances an extra and final dividend may be proposed at the Company's Annual General Meeting.
