12/9/2014 07:54 | Hangar8: Paint Respray Lifts Pre-owned Aircraft Values September 11, 2014 by Chad Trautvetter September 11, 2014, 2:57 PM Business aircraft management and charter company Hangar8 Aviation has launched a new repaint facility at its headquarters at London Oxford Airport to help sellers refresh their aircraft’s paint to make it more attractive to buyers. According to Hangar8, 16.5 percent of the 381 private jets in the UK are currently up for sale, making it a buyer’s market. Thus, Hangar8 is advising owners looking to sell their aircraft that a paint respray could boost the chances of finding a buyer while also hoisting the selling price higher. In a buyer’s market, “owners need to find ways of making their aircraft more attractive,” Hangar8 CEO Dustin Dryden said. “The cost of a respray can be around 1 percent of the value of an aircraft, but it could increase its value by up to 10 percent.” Hangar8’s analysis reveals that of the major European countries, Italy has the highest percentage of its private jet fleet up for sale at 16.7 percent, followed by the UK (16.5 percent) and Switzerland (15.3 percent | igoe104
11/9/2014 18:58 | Nice late reported trade - 7,229 shares bought at 303.18p... | rivaldo
11/9/2014 14:37 | Gone through 300 now. Good stuff! | phosphorane
11/9/2014 13:39 | Yep. Forecasts for the year we're now in are for 30p EPS though - so HGR8 remain on a current year P/E of only 9.8. And that's without stripping out the cash pile, which may be at £3.5m-£4 | rivaldo
11/9/2014 12:25 | Eh up - nice move up here! | gorilla36
10/9/2014 13:28 | :o)) Yep, I think that much excitement would be too much for most here! HGR8's rising a few pence a day is good enough for me (sad or what). | rivaldo
10/9/2014 09:38 | Mile high club no chance of me joining that, wife to snobby. Anyway this is creeping up nicely looking forward to results. | igoe104
09/9/2014 15:35 | Further new highs now. And talking of the mile high club...very seductive: | rivaldo
08/9/2014 09:42 | Excellent progress recently. It just moves so much on small volume, so hopefully we will see buyers when the results are out and move this further towards the 400p price it deserves. | goliard
08/9/2014 09:22 | Further new highs on buying prior to the final results. | rivaldo
05/9/2014 14:58 | New highs now per the thread header chart, and seemingly moving up on every buy. | rivaldo
05/9/2014 08:38 | Yes I agree rivaldo We know the results will be good from the 1 July trading statement that "The Company has enjoyed an excellent year, with significant organic growth, that has delivered a strong increase in EBITDA ahead of management's expectations." and that there will be a maiden dividend of 2.3p. However the prospect of a positive trading statement for the 4 months to October is anticipated. The trading statement said "As we now move into a new financial year, the improving economy is already feeding through into our marketplace with higher activity across our business streams. The outlook for our business is strong and we enter the year with confidence." | twirl
04/9/2014 14:20 | Good to see HGR8 continuing to make steady progress upwards. Results are due next month, so not long to wait. Interestingly, they're due by the "end of October", which is significantly ahead of prior years, when they've been announced in late November. They always say good numbers get added up more quickly :o)) | rivaldo
21/8/2014 10:44 | Yes that's 50% earnings growth from last year, everything points to a very good last few months of the year for hgr8. we could easily see £4 by year end. | igoe104
15/8/2014 12:07 | More like consolidating nicely before the next leg up :o)) The forthcoming good results will flag to the market that 30p EPS is forecast for the current year. At which point hopefully we'll get a rather nice re-rating from a P/E of 9 (and even less taking the cash pile into account). | rivaldo
15/8/2014 10:34 | Little bit more life in this in past two days? | ayl30
13/8/2014 07:46 | There's a full page article on HGR8 on page 30 of this magazine: I'm wondering if HGR8's fleet of air ambulances in Africa are benefiting rather nicely from the terrible outbreak of ebola? | rivaldo
07/8/2014 14:32 | Good write up here. Hangar8 Aviation is seeing a growing interest from mining and oil and gas companies looking to private aviation as a solution to complex travel needs The increasing use of business aviation stems from the need to get senior executives to visit difficult and harder to reach mining and drilling locations. In the past three months, Hangar8's charter business has seen an increase in inquiries from the mining sector of up to 25 per cent when compared to the same period last year. Dustin Dryden, chief executive officer of Hangar8, said: "2013 was a difficult year for the mining sector, with its top 40 companies by market cap seeing net profits plunge 72 per cent to a decade low of $20 billion. Mining stocks also dropped 23 per cent to $280 billion. "However, many commentators believe that the worst is over and there will be disciplined growth and investment during 2014. In line with this, we have certainly seen an increase in inquiries from oil and gas and mining companies looking to lease and charter our aircraft." Many sites are difficult to reach and have little or no infrastructure. Business aircraft can be useful for reaching these areas because they can land on short and unpaved runways, for example. Analysis by Hangar8 shows that 81 per cent of runways in Africa, for example, are short or unpaved. "Hangar8 is already a preferred supplier to some of the world's leading players in this field and we are delighted to see that our experience in servicing this industry is recognised by so many of the top companies," added Dryden. Hangar8 manages over 50 aircraft and has bases in Europe, West Africa and Asia | igoe104
29/7/2014 08:46 | Nice start - including a buy even before the markets opened at 8.00 from someone particularly keen. | rivaldo
28/7/2014 21:00 | thanks rivaldo. | twirl
28/7/2014 07:43 | I note the following nicely bullish comment this morning from AIP's trading RNS: "the Private Jet division delivering strong performance across US and UK" AIP have warned given the poor performance of their Commercial division, but the strong Private Jet performance should once again reflect well on HGR8. | rivaldo
25/7/2014 07:23 | HGR8 have been featured in the July edition of Finncap's monthly Hubinvest newsletter as follows FYI: "Hangar8 plans to pay a maiden full year dividend of 2.3p a share. This will be confirmed when the passenger jet aircraft operator and manager reports its figures for the year to June 2014 at the end of October. Management says that EBITDA will be ahead of expectations. There has been growth in the managed aircraft fleet plus additional revenues from newer services, such as in-house engineering for aircraft maintenance. Hangar8 recently opened an aircraft paint facility. Management is hopeful that the improving economy will result in increased demand for its services." | rivaldo
23/7/2014 06:57 | One has to assume that the client would have paid for this - since it's the client's private jet they might be a bit annoyed if HGR8 suddenly announced they'd repainted it without permission! | rivaldo |
