leedsu36 - Just seeing if you were paying attention. Well done. It's a sneaky trick putting in spelling mistakes to encourage posts but needs must. I really don't have anything that I want to sell at the moment so can't invest in Ascot. CGT is going to hurt and I don't want to add to it so looking to keeping investments in place. Now if I want to switch I consider the CGT liability carefully, and you know how Fairdeal keeps going on about the value of staying put for the longer term. I don't have a personal pension just paid my NI, so I don't know whether a SIPP is possible but it is something I should really look into.

Also to consider is that if I buy Ascot directly I can decide when I want to sell it or not. If I just invest through Athol TW could sell some of the holding at any time, but presumably to invest in something with more potential. So answer to your question is, no direct investment in Athol at the moment but if I had some spare cash I would.

Think of all my many readers that you are going to irritate with that big space in your post.

moreforus - loony? I presume that's based on the North of Scotland loon = young man, rather than hinting at my sanity level. As Spike Millegan once said "I am totally sane and have the certificate to prove it." I really need to type faster, you keep slipping one in when I am not looking. Need to stop the innuendo before I have to ban myself.

ARGY2 - The fact that they were struggling for funds and now intend to ramp up production means Athol invested at the perfect time. Hopefully the existing share holders in Ascot weren't to upset by the placing terms as they should see the benefits in the very near future. With TW and AB helping Ascot to push toward an early AIM listing we should see a good upward movement in the share price here.

leedsu36 - Many thanks. Please bear in mind though that while I welcome your company I don't make out on the first date. No wonder it's quiet here, nothing to talk about really until we get some information flow. I am hoping that someone on the BOD will address that before we die of old age. Judging by the stuff I get in my emails from various entities pushing the t1ps gold fund as an investment, I find it hard to believe that the lack of news flow is down to TW.

Morning campers. Can buy at least half a million at 0.869p so any sells today will probably be buys. Can't get a quote to sell £1,000 worth. If you are thinking of buying any it might be worth waiting or snapping them up if the price seems right. 1 v 2, .85 - .9p 30,000 v 80,000

It would be nice round about now to hear something from the BOD about the other investments made by Athol. So far I haven't had a response to my email. You tend to form an opinion of directors and such by the way they respond to your communications. AB at RRR and RGM gets nothing but praise from those that communicate with him, and there are lots of others out there who take time out to deal with share holders no matter how busy they are. I would guess that TW has no problem filling up the hours in his working day but he has always answered my emails promptly with his famous one liners and he had never heard of me before I started this BB. One liners that answer the question in as few words as possible. Do I care if someone answers me with a one liner? No, and I appreciate them responding. We keep forgetting that the one email we send may be one of hundreds at the other end. But if you don't have time to answer communications at least get someone else to do it. This isn't aimed at the HRE BOD just comments in general, because I will have 100 posts on this board by the end of the year if I have to 'accidently' double post to make up the numbers. I should never have made that 'riff raff' remark.

KWN Source - Gold Will Move $150 Higher Within 5 Weeks

The contact out of London has updated King World News on the massive Asian buyers which have been accumulating both gold and silver. The London source stated, "A bunch of the weak hands are now on the short side of this market. We are very close to a floor because of the massive Asian buying. People have to remember these Asian buyers are now controlling the gold and silver markets, it is not the little guy."

"It's all about the bond auctions, the bond fell off a cliff. In the derivatives market you've got JP Morgan playing the bond market at the behest of the Fed, going long 30 years versus selling short-term paper. They buy 30 year paper and then immediately hedge themselves by selling the 30, 60 and 90 day paper. It's how they keep interest rates down, it's how you do it.

The only reason interest rates are not in double digits in the US is because of this game. These guys are short front month paper. If this (the bond market) actually fell much longer, JP Morgan could be wiped out, I mean they would be liquidated. The Fed cannot allow them to do that. We're witnessing history here.

Money flowing out of bonds is going into precious metals. So what they are doing is trying to paint the tape and make it look like a double-top in gold, with silver also retreating. Open interest went up into the decline, this is a gift (the decline). Asian buyers are laughing, we're like a cartoon to them. They cannot believe how orchestrated this is."

Where do you see a floor on silver?

"I think to go through $27 is virtually impossible, it would be suicide. I don't think it will even get there. They are getting very cheeky even taking it below $28. They are not going to push it below $27 because they would just lose too much physical.

All that's happening here is the Fed is freaking out because the bond market is collapsing and they want to indicate that everything is fine, and certainly that precious metals is not your alternative. Meanwhile, the Asians will continue to buy any dip and keep adding to their position. For what it is worth, Jim Rickards is correct, the Asians are doing their buying through secret agents."

I have no idea where this share price will be in a few months, but I would settle for it being up. The beauty of the deal here is that TW gets paid in performance shares and has to make that back for us before he even begins to qualify for more.

Yesterday's buyer of 500k (more4?) looks to have taken a turn.TW will want this to be a winner so will no doubt have a game plan and other Ascot type deals in the pipeline. When people realise the potential this price will seem a stunning bargain.

I wasn't sure what to expect this morning, but I wouldn't have bet on the first trade being 500 shares at 0.925p. A 40,000 buy at 0.97p

Currently 1 v 1 30,000 v 50,000 0.9 - 1p.

A few shares out there starting in the blue.

leedsu36 - I read his post on DXR saying he was selling some of those. Nice when people let you know things like that, he's a proper gentleman is CPS. I hope he got some of these this morning before the price hike as a bit of a reward for holding so many DXR for so long. I just hope he hasn't flogged off just before some news comes, that would be really bad luck. Interesting to see where this goes tomorrow.

moormoney - remember the old days when it was just you and me. Now we have all this riff raff to put up with. That's my trouble - I never know when I'm well off.
