10/9/2009 21:20 | Very little stock available. | clancrackan
10/9/2009 16:40 | Pity that they didn't hit 60p though -- I would have had a shed full of them now. HMS are by far may favourite non-gold share. Clearly undervalued and well run. | elban
10/9/2009 09:18 | Momentum continues. This hints to me of good forthcoming results announcement. Could yet see us back at 150p by end of year? Feeling very positive and glad I have maintained my holding and even added on the dips | greek islander
09/9/2009 16:51 | Nice rise into close! | crawford
09/9/2009 16:39 | Results are as forecast leaving the shares on a pe of 5. The forward trading statement will read much better and will push the share price on. The divers are all saying that Hallin has the business and the 2nd half of the year and 2010 looks impressive.dyor. | volvo
09/9/2009 16:32 | Nice end to the day. Maybe results have leaked out already & are better than expected? | fr4dge
09/9/2009 16:20 | Have people got their days mixed up results are next week or can we expect some additional news before hand as HMS can be leaky at times with news!! | stluke
09/9/2009 11:05 | G.I. be very careful about property. It has been my main business for the last 20+ years and I am absolutely certain that the stability of recent months will not last. Property (like the stock market) has benefited from the leakage of Q.E. and stimulus money - however, at some stage this must stop. I have experienced a few property crashes in the last few years and this seems like just the initial stages.[Plus all the regulation / tax changes are unfavourable.] I am presently highly exposed to gold (via small miners) because I believe that the economy (especially UK) is basically bust. I expect a very severe fall in the FTSE over the next few months. It may rise for a while, but there are so many 'unexploded bombs' out there that a large fall is inevitable. One of the very few uk companies that I beleive in is HMS, which I think will eventually be bought out by a larger player at £5+. Good luck | elban
08/9/2009 23:04 | O/T Hi Greek Islander, we meet again! Remember me from TAN, I'm a real Greek Islander, believe it or not! Anyway, if you're looking for a good spot for your pension pot, may I suggest you take a look at MONI? Probably a bit riskier than HMS but I would think (from my limited knowledge I admit) less risky than RCG, and MONI's potential is absolutely enormous. It is a technology play like RCG, and similarly is tapping into a growing market for its products, but the size of its potential market is astonishing, much of it based on relatively fixed overheads, and it is still at an early stage so a great time to buy in (like VISA have recently). It isn't an overnight play by any means, but on a 3-4 year timescale it could be huge. All IMO of course, DYOR, I hold MONI etc etc - ramp over! PS even Evil Knievel (Simon Cawkwell) is long on MONI! | cyberbub
08/9/2009 17:36 | Evo note from last week The purchase of Submersible Technology Services for £16m plus performance consideration based on EBIT by Neptune Marine Services suggests that Hallin Marine shares are relatively cheap, says Evolution Securities. The Broker observes: " The price of 1.23x sales plus performance payment highlights Hallin's undervaluation on 0.5x sales. With a current forecast 2010 P/E of less than 4x, a third of that of the sector and half their larger peers Subsea 7 and Acergy, this goes to illustrate the undervaluation of Hallin. Hallin interims are to be announced on Sept 15th | volvo
08/9/2009 16:27 | Ah. OK. I'll save my worrying for my own situation. | fr4dge
08/9/2009 16:14 | Fr4dge, I shouldn't worry about GI's pension. RCG not going up probably just means a smaller retirement island in the Aegean... :) | edmundshaw
08/9/2009 13:31 | LOL true I suppose. Its turned the corner though. Been in and out of this company before and managed to avoid holding when it went from 145p to 100p. It is very sound and hold a niche position so happy to hold from this position. 8 weeks ago on future trading. Shares tend to be valued on tommorrow not yesterday. Hallin continues to win significant new work and anticipates further announcements in this regard in the near future. The Directors remain confident that the business is well positioned to exploit opportunities as they occur and will take advantage of the gradual upturn in demand as the oil & gas industry returns to more normal conditions. | volvo
08/9/2009 13:07 | Volvo You are tempting providence. The results could cause a glut ! But I hope you prove right. | varies
08/9/2009 12:20 | There is no stock here and next week results could cause a shortage. | volvo
08/9/2009 11:40 | Greek islander, RCG is an interesting one. Looks like it could be massive if all stacks up - but a bit risky for your pension IMV. There's something about the way they do some of their deals that doesn't quite smell right & this has actually scared me out of it. Apologies if this message is unwelcome, but the idea of your retirement being dependent on RCG worries me a little. Good luck anyway. | fr4dge
08/9/2009 09:32 | Someones employing. 08/9/2009 00:48 | Fr4dge Yes encouraging day. Looking forward to the results. A lot of my pension rests on HMS and RCG. | greek islander
07/9/2009 18:03 | Good to see share price ticking up with results due soon. A sign of things to come? | fr4dge
07/9/2009 13:50 | I bought at 114, so still down 10% | hirschnathan
07/9/2009 09:42 | Bought in last week and taken another 10k today (104.5p). Reason being that divers themselves are buying the stock based on experience that Hallin has the contracts right now and are the main employer. They look to be recovering well with the industry. On any basis if the growth comes back in 2010 they are at a bargain price.Any hint that that higher levels are returning in the results next week a rerating will follow and soon. | volvo
28/8/2009 21:26 | Sounds about right funny thing that all my stocks seem to react that way when everything else looks just rosy......lol | matis0906 |
