I can see your point toffee man, I think they have hedged efficiently for this year in dollar terms. Next year will be the one to see what happens in reference to hedging and margins.Let's see what the next set of results,to bring, still undervalued here pre Brexit too.

Can't see them making bikes in the UK and as the £ has fallen surely they will either have to put up the prices (lower demand) or take lower margins (lower profits) either way it doesn't look positive to my untutored eye.

Great News that Rob Swyer is leaving!!!!!Looks like Jill is lining up a new number 2, one who will probably be more on her wave length?You can bet your bottom dollar Rob will end up at Tesco with his old pal Matt Davis.I feel this is the most positive news that Rob is going and to bring on a new and more business focussed Retail Director into the fold is exactly what we need perhaps.At the end of the day ......since Matt left, the retail sector has not exactly performed well and that at the end of the day is 'his bag'!IMO his heart has probably not been in the game for some time now and I did wonder why he suddenly sold all his shares recently?The ftse 250 has recovered from Brexit lows whilst HFD is still well undervalued at today's price.I'm confident they have had a great summer and I know from visiting some stores and speaking to staff they have said it has been like Xmas. So let's hope the next set results echo this busy trading period!!! I'm sure Jill has probably had to interject her own business agenda given the current state of play....let's hope it has worked.

For those of you with a short memory...Four years ago the Olympics powered HFD ahead in the second quarter.That time we only less medals and this time we have steeped the cycling podiums and HFD did not have Boardman, Wiggins or Trott ranges of bikes in their stores.£10's of thousands of pounds of free marketing here.Sir Bradley Wiggins?.......want to buy a bike?Go to halfords!Ladies! Laura Trott? Want to buy a bike?Go to Halfords!Great Olympic champions backed by a very astute company!Smaller cycling independents are going to the wall?Evans cycles is about to go bust and why?Because they have no range, no depth and no viable business model that any decent cyclist will back!Halfords a champion business backed by world class Olympic Champions!As they say, you do the maths!

Great movement over the last week.They will be in their element their pattern and as the Olympics start we should see some further momentum now.
