06/12/2016 10:21 | 41k shares traded in total, in 2 and a half hours, on a FTSE 250 company??? About half of what I hold myself!!There is NO sell off, merely the markets dropping this to a level where the buyers are!I'm a buyer! | festario
06/12/2016 10:16 | 'I am not going to lie it is not my style. I sm just ssying this'Slippy, you are a notorious liar, and demonstrably so, your tales of black holes in GVC accounts, remember that? | festario
06/12/2016 10:11 | So in the US, that has been the case since the ports act, pop off across the pond, that's a good yank. Say hello to Mr Trump for me. | srpactive
06/12/2016 10:07 | 622p looking like the bottom of the W on the chart and its tested it several times. | fizzypop
06/12/2016 10:04 | I am not going to lie it is not my style. I am just ssying this. The industry clampdown will not be exclusive to forex. Autorities are now bridging the divide. They are not stupid. The current investigation into gaming customer incentives and bonuses will lead to legislation and resulting slow growth for GVC. Gibraltar will not escape. Gaming is next. I have reliable informatiin that proposals are almost finalised relating to online gaming. You will wake up one morning and everything will have chsnged. From what it is worth they are gunning for regulated operators thst peddle their wares in a wild-west environment. The phrase "not on our watch will apply". | slipperysidewinder
06/12/2016 09:47 | Actually this is very good news for gvc, if the big speadbetters are going to lose major revenue, they will be looking to buy companies to compensate for this. Bidding war for gvc anyone? dyor | srpactive
06/12/2016 09:44 | Well you can see with the amount of slippery posts that this was his news. So its knocked 7p off, I can live with that, when is the dividend due again, oh yes early next year. Non core will get sold off, if necessary. dyor regards active | srpactive
06/12/2016 09:39 | Not immune from regulation is true but unlike IG etc. this is a non core asset of GVC and accounts for less than 2% of revenue. Don't you think that if there was an issue that GVC would be dropping like IG this morning? In fact trade is thinner that ever at the moment! This whole story in not relevant to GVC. and as far as the online bookmakers go, this is the same for all of them, the funds wanting to be wagered via them will still be there, they will just amend their marketing accordingly. | crookman
06/12/2016 09:37 | Well, Ive learned something Crookman then. Didn't know about InterTrader. More interesting to me to have a discussion than posters just updating us all on their filter list. Give it a rest. I'll filter who I want to filter and if you don't like it filter me. | whiskeyinthejar
06/12/2016 09:35 | Closed remaining Nanoco short today at 6 figure profit. | slipperysidewinder
06/12/2016 09:35 | I guess the point is that regulatory thumb screws are being turned accross Europe and there is no doubt that bonuses play a big part in retail customer acquisition. | slipperysidewinder
06/12/2016 09:34 | Sold Playtech and went short on them along with GVC, Plus 500 and IG. | slipperysidewinder
06/12/2016 09:32 | Slippery I thought you would be over at PTEC. Some alleged dodgy dealings going on! All the best | toyin
06/12/2016 09:30 | Crookman Dont kid yourself. Restrictive legislation is on its way European-wide. Only a fool would think GVC is immune. | slipperysidewinder
06/12/2016 09:28 | No wonder GVC is being investigated as part of industry-wide look into freebies and bonuses that online gaming companies refuse to pay. | slipperysidewinder
06/12/2016 09:27 | Whiskey, he's referring to InterTrader that GVC picked up from BPTY. Something he had no idea about until I enlightened he a few weeks ago! Anyhow InterTrader is under the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission not the FCA, and only makes up a very small revenue stream as part of GVC's non core assets, so this "bombshell" from Slippy is far from it!!! | crookman
06/12/2016 09:26 | hxxp://www.leaprate. | slipperysidewinder
06/12/2016 09:23 | Nurdin You will see. Clampdown on the wsy you like whether you like it or not. | slipperysidewinder
06/12/2016 09:22 | I can't believe that longterm posters to this thread haven't done what I did ages ago and that is to filter out and out de-rampers. | mylands
06/12/2016 09:18 | Enlighten me then. Whats the GVC spreadbetting brand? | whiskeyinthejar
06/12/2016 09:17 | Dont be daft. The FCA action relates leveraged products where punters can lose multiple of their investment if the bet goes against them.Nothing to do with the likes of GVC where the bets are generally of small value and well within the financial resources of ordinary punters. The onus lies on the punter however to control the habit! | nurdin
06/12/2016 09:17 | Well thst puts sn end to GVC's move into financials. With regulatory legislation on its way on online gaming it looks like GVC bit off more than it csn chew. | slipperysidewinder
06/12/2016 09:15 | Whiskey Your wrong. Very wrong!! | slipperysidewinder
06/12/2016 09:14 | Just looking at where GVC had its liscences and it makes very very interesting reading. | slipperysidewinder
06/12/2016 09:13 | Don't think Gvc do any financial betting. | whiskeyinthejar |
