Geezus! What the hell!?! A late start this morning so only just looking at markets and what a shock! GVC Almost 5% down without a single intra rise over the past hour since 9am - 5% is catastrophic if closes with that single day decline showing. Thought last night that the 639p support was disproportionatly a longer distance from the pivot point share price when compared to the resistance level, but never thought it was remotely on the cards - and here we are sinking past it without yet to stop. What on earth is going on? Bladdy L!!! Shell-shocked! WTF?!@##@!!! EDIT First rise occurred as I posted. Still serious but no longer 4.8% down. This is a major move down and not at all within normal flucuation. Run it past me again, y'know that assertion that being promoted to the FTSE250 automatically guarantees a rising share price because the tracker funds are compelled to include it in their portfolios . Rambling now so off to get head straightened out with a cuppa.

perhaps this is due to the turkish lira. What percentage of our sales are in Turkey?

With the government starting to backtrack on the Brexit promises of the referendum campaign by saying that immigration for essential industries will be considered and also the possibility of paying into the EU as a way to stay in the single market, my Forex predictions of below $1.20/£ and 1.10Euro/£ look likely to be way off, as the market warms to the idea of a 'soft' Brexit. Mind you, when the negotiations get difficult IMO we will see another bout of Sterling weakness My Footsie y/e foreceast of around the 6,700 mark is looking good.

Another down day in progress?

Hee hee! Yes, spot on Mylands. I think other posters are genuinely right though. Slippy is rapidly becoming a very lucky talisman for GVC. Personally I think tomorrow will confirm the end of the bear attack, and if not tomorrow by latest next week - and Slippy with his 100% reversal opinions is the confirming catalyst for that :) :) He's more reliable than candlesticks! Time I turned in for the day. There's mini support and resistance reasonably close to either side of tonight's close, so not worth looking out for, however, the next two on from those, are. . . - For those who think the bear attack is not over, then it's big trouble ahead if the share price fails to close above 639p support. On the other hand a positive day, closing above 667p resistance will also herald, not only more to come, but also a coachload of football fans rolling up, led by Vinnie Jones chanting: Here we go, here we go, here we go-ooooo ........

I presume your post is in response to a certain 'slippery'. I filtered him/her weeks ago. Don't waste your well considered analaysis on trying to counter the drivel that 'slippery' posts which I simply got fed up with.

Never bet your life on level 2 metrics alone. The share price got beaten down to 644 today. If you believe it's true there were no buyers worth mentioning today then the MM's must have over-ridden SETS, filled a balloon with hellium and tied the share price to it - and that's how the share price floated up from 644 to close 657 all on its lonesome without buyers being present in depth - with just overwhelming sellers being represented as the only active traders . LOL!!!

. . . EDIT - And the day closed HIGHER THAN IT OPENED! How's that possible on a day quote: "bereft of willing buyers." Unquote

Hmmm ... That's interesting, it closed 1p above the intraday's highest-of-the-day resistance level that developed early this morning. That's a clear fail for the bears by day's end then. Didn't believe this mini bear attack would be long-lived and feel buoyed by the 657p close. So all-in-all what was today all about then? Just a big seller passing the equivalent of a kidney stone?

Some mega sells here today. Level 2 totally bereft of willing buyers.

Well well well

Ha! So it was compelled to revisit and'fill the gap'! So gimme another penny at 654 where the gap down commenced and we'll call it quits - for today. Ha, bears fell victim to the revisit to "fill the gap" :)
